Eastern Emeralds Introduction
Presented as their flagship game of the year Quickspin recently launched Dwarfs Gone Wild. No doubt an ambitious undertaking, but Dwarfs wasn't their flagship game - Eastern Emeralds is! And as it turns out, a huge change of direction for the Swedish software developer.
When we decided to review this game we admittedly went in thinking it was going to be another low potential slot from Quickspin, and visually it didn't look too exciting either. At first glance we mistakenly presumed the total max win was 1680x, but how wrong we were. Before we dive into the potential however, let's get through the basics first.
Eastern Emeralds is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 paylines, playable on all devices from €0.20 to €100. The RTP is 96,58%, with 67,94% allocated to the main game and 28,64% to the Free Spins. Its a fairly simplistic and straight-forward slot that doesn't require too much brain activity to understand.
Eastern Emeralds Symbols
Set in the heart of the Asian wilderness against the backdrop of mountains, symbols include A, K, Q, J and 10 playing cards as well as various oriental themes such as medallions, oriental trinkets, golden turtles, koi fishes and dragons. The dragon, which is the most lucrative of all regular symbols, is of the same value as the wild symbol and gives a return of 7,5x for 5 across a payline.
The wilds also appear as a multipliers and have the same multiplier value as the reel they land on. This means that a wild symbol landing on reel 4 will have a x4 multiplier value. But don't expect stacks of wilds to come flying as it's only possible to land one wild per reel. The max win in the main game is 900x, which requires a wild line + connecting Dragons.

Eastern Emeralds is a MONSTER slot and its quite a shock to see one of the most high potential online slots of ALL come from a provider that is otherwise known for its low paying, low variance productions. According to Quickspin's own test results with 100 billion spins played, the following max wins were observed:

- 12 free spins: 5,922x

A 16,000x win sounds amazing, yet in theory it can pay way more than that as it has potential to pay 12600 times the stake per single spin. Probably as unlikely as having a Mega Jackpot on Mega Fortune, but possible. Hell, even a 10,000x win would be insane for any game, let alone a Quickspin slot.
Chances are that Eastern Esmeralds is capped at some value considering a max bet of €100 is allowed (Quickspin has confirmed to us that it is not capped), and it remains to see how it will perform once it's live. Without a cap, it could in theory pay out over €7,5 million which must be a record for a non-jackpot slot.
In terms of bonus frequency, it was surprisingly easy to land a bonus and Quickspin themselves have categorized the game as low variance. When we tried it, the bonuses seemed to performed like Quickspin slots are expected to do, with none of the 30 features played paying over 150x. In that sense it kind of gave the impression of being just another Quickspin slot. But the potential is there, it can't be denied, and it's going to be extremely interesting to see if there will be any record wins going up on Youtube.

In Eastern Emeralds, the win potential is resided in lining up the wild multipliers. Since the multipliers multiply each other, the win explodes exponentially when you line up big multipliers. The 16000x max win is an observed value. It is not from a complicated feature, it is exactly from lining up 5 wild symbols in the 6 freespins mode.
Here are some concrete numbers to support the fact. A line of 5 wild symbols pays:
- 150 x1 x2 x3 x4 x5 = 18000 Credits, which is 900 xbet, in the Base Game and 15 freespins mode
- 150 x1 x3 x4 x5 x6 = 54000 Credits, which is 2700 xbet, in the 12 freespins mode
- 150 x1 x4 x5 x6 x7 = 126000 Credits, which is 6300 xbet, in the 9 freespins mode
- 150 x1 x5 x6 x7 x8 = 252000 Credits, which is 12600 xbet, in the 6 freespins mode
As you can see, 12600 xbet is already close to the observed maximum win of 16,000x. And that is one line win on one spin. Usually when there is a line of 5 wild symbols, very likely there are wins on the other lines on the same spin which are also multiplied by the multiplier. And theoretically speaking, you can win the 12600+ xbet 6 times during a freespin session, however, the chance of that happening is astronomical.
Last, as far as I know, the game is not capped at any value.
