Experience Fire-breathing dragons in NetEnt’s medieval FIRE SIEGE FORTRESS slot
Featuring Fire Siege Free Spins
3 Wild features – Archer Attack, Dragon’s Breath, Trebuchet Assault
Fire Siege Fortress Introduction
Fire Siege Fortress is a 5-reel slot with Wild and Scatter symbols, Fire Siege Free Spins, Fire Free Spins, Tower Coin Win and three Wild Windows. The 5 reels are 4, 3, 4, 3, 4 symbols high from left to right. The game is played with 576 fixed pay lines from €0.20 to €200 per spin.
The game takes you back to the medieval days, with the reels set against a castle and a sworded knight standing to the left guarding the gates. As we’ve come to expect of NetEnt, it’s a high-quality visual production with a superb call to arms soundtrack.
Fire Siege Fortress Symbols
A, K, Q, J, and 10 royals on banners represent the low-value symbols. These work as fillers to even out the game and are not worth much. The 5 premium symbols are made out of hammers, axes, swords, armoured knights, and dragons – the latter being the most lucrative giving you 6 times the stake for a full line of 5. The wild symbol, as usual, substitutes for all symbols except the scatter symbol.
There are 3 Wild Windows positioned at the bottom of the 3 middle reels. These can be triggered during the main game by landing a wild on any of these windows. When this happens, 1 of 3 wild features will activate. It is possible to activate all 3 features in the same spin. The wild features are:
- Archer Attack – 1 or 3 random wild symbols randomly appear on the reels.
- Dragon’s Breath – an expanding wild symbol appears on reel 3 and changes all symbols present on the reel into wild symbols.
- Trebuchet Assault – 1 to 2 giant wild symbols randomly appears on the reels.
Fire Siege Free Spins
Keep an eye out for the crown scatter symbol as 3 of these on reels 1, 3, and 5 will activate the Fire Siege Free Spins. The number of free spins awarded depends on where the scatter symbol lands. For example, a scatter symbol at the very top of reels 1, 3, and 5 awards 6 free spins each, while a scatter anywhere else only award 3. This means that it’s possible to trigger up to 18 free spins going into the bonus.
The free spins mode does not appear to be different from the main game in terms of features or payouts which is a bit weird. It’s possible that there are more wilds or premiums added to the reels, but in any case, it’s not described in the help file.
Fire Free Spins & Tower Coin Win
There are 2 additional bonus modes included in the game which are less volatile. 2 scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 or 5 will activate either the Fire Free Spins or the Tower Coin Win. The coin win is pure garbage and only yields a 5 times the stake win. The Fire Free Spins will grant you 3 spins which, again, does not seem to stand out from the main game.
Fire Siege Fortress Conclusion
Fire Siege Fortress (NetEnt)
We were super confused with the free spins, and it took us some time to figure out what’s going on. As explained already, we couldn’t quite see what was special about the 2 free spins modes. The fact that they appear similar to the main game just seems lazy and nothing that will make any player too excited. The coin win is embarrassing as well, offering a lousy 5x win. Come on!
To be fair, however, this slot is capable of dishing out a max win of 3,456x wins should you land a full screen of wilds, something that doesn’t appear to be all too impossible with the help of the wild features. With that said, we still didn’t enjoy this game very much and will probably go elsewhere with our wallet.
If you do feel like giving it a try, Fire Siege Fortress is available exclusively at Mr Smith Casino. But please, don’t.
