Bigger Bass Blizzard Christmas Catch - An old, but a special slot and one unique Bass-release to this day

It's been ages since I posted anything on BWB, so now I had to post!

It's about time I write this post. It's gone way too many years already...

For those who aren't aware, Bigger Bass Blizzard Christmas Catch (or as I call it: Bliz) is a slot that differentiates itself from many other slots and it's my #1 slot when it comes to balance building, strange as it is. Yes, it's one old slot and there is nothing special or WOW about it when it comes to design, gameplay, music etc., but it's one unique slot nonetheless. Why so? Here are some reasons why:
+ It is the only slot where you can more often than not calculate when you get a free spin feature.
+ There is no other slot where you can start with €10 and actually build somewhat a survivable balance with it. It's a great slot for those who do not have crypto salaries/balances to relate to aka casual spinners. I've lost the count on how many times I've turned my balance for the better with this slot vs. any other slot. And that comes from an avid NLC-fan and one who's played about 8000 slots.... That says it all on how unique this slot is when it comes to balance building.
+ Very often, you'll get a free spin feature within 50 spins, but even more often within 120 spins, which is its "feature cap". There's a saying that when it comes to online video slots, there are no guarantees. Well, this slot twists that rule a little bit, for sure. How many slots exists where you can know the outcome of the spins? Not many, I tell you that.
+ It's also THE slot that offers most free spin streaks. I've lost the count on how many times I've gotten between 10-20+ free spin features within 30 mins of playing.
+ Although it's not much, but 99% of the time, you're guaranteed a win of around 10x your bet (incl. xbet) from a free spin feature.
+ When all other slots are failing, this often saves the balance and rebuilds it nicely again. THAT reliable it is when we're talking about a online video slot.

Those are the "pro's" on why to play this slot. Let's move onto the con's of this slot and why it's so effin' annoying at times:
- Probably the most stupidest of them all is the fact that there's no possibility to get the max win fish. I've spun about 3M spins or so, and 0 max win fishes caught! 3M!! That's A LOT of spins! By that time, I could've gotten a max win on TRIP, maybe even twice..... But nope, a 5000x max win fish is just not possible to get, especially after Pragmatic "patched" the game 1-2 years ago or so. Imagine that... 5000x max win potential, but the slot couldn't afford to give it even once. There exists only 1 youtube video where someone gets the max win fish, and that wasn't even on the free spin + it was before Pragmatic "patched" the game. Heck, I've only gotten 5 of a kind of the best symbol only ONCE in those 3M spins! And yes, I have recorded most of my sessions, so it's not just a random loose number I am mentioning here. Such a strange and a weird observation, but oh well... Pragmatic will probably never confirm this anyway, heh. Lately, I've even started to wonder if it's possible that the max win fish cannot be caught when xbet is activated. I haven't tried that many spins without xbet, so it cannot be ruled out at least... So, what's up with that, Pragmatic, hmm? Why have a slot where max win cannot be achieved?!
- This is probably the ONLY slot where you simply don't want to get 4 or 5 scatters. Strange, isn't it? But yeah, I've gotten it about 200 times, and only 2% of them have resulted in a decent win. All others end either on level 1 or level 2 with no major wins to look back at. Very odd to be disappointed whenever I get 4+ scatters, but unfortunately, it's the nature of this slot...
- From time to time, it goes on a massive dead zone aka a winless drought, meaning that you can spin about 500 or so spins without getting a single free spin feature, which is a lot for a slot that more often than not gives a free spin every 120 spin or so. Knowing when to quit is another important key when it comes to this slot.

And here are some random and rather odd facts and even "tips" about this game and its mechanics and how it works:
+ You are 100% guaranteed a free spin feature if you see A LOT (5+ in a short distance) of scatter symbols scroll by on wheel 4. If it doesn't land on wheel 4, it WILL land on wheel 5...
+ You're almost guaranteed to get to the next level if you haven't reached the 10x win guarantee and you're only missing 1 fisherman. I believe I have failed to reach level 2 on 2 occasions when I was missing 1 fisherman for level 2 and not reached the 10x win guarantee mark. And yes, you will get fisherman past level 2 if you have not reached the win guarantee mark. If you begin level 2 without reaching the win guarantee mark, you'll get a fisherman on the very first spin on level 2...
+ If you get a winning line of fishes and it consists of the max win fish, you'll get the max win, yes. Unfortunately, it's yet to happen. I've only seen it on a youtube video...
+ You can get max 2 fisherman symbols in 1 spin. I've gotten 2 fishermen symbols in 1 spin on all levels except on 10x level. I've also seen 2 fishermen symbols in 1 spin in back-2-back spins. This is THE Bass-game with most frequent double fisherman occurring than in any other Bass-game, actually.
+ The same with hooks, which is guaranteed a fisherman symbol. Only 2 hooks in 1 spin is possible. You can get up to 2 hooks outside of free spins as well, which then pulls up 2 scatter symbols, resulting in the dreadful 4+ scatter "curse"... Inside free spins, you can also get max 2 hooks in 1 spin, which then 100% pulls up a fisherman. Yes, 2 hooks are way rarer than 2 fishermen symbols.
+ When you get a free spin feature streak, very often, you are awarded a free spin feature within 1-20 spins, I kid you not. This is also THE slot to UP your bet IMMEDIATELY after a feature, because it gives another feature within very few spins, and often even back-2-back features! The highest amount of free spin feature streaks I've encountered is about 30 or so. Most of them give like 50-100x or so, but they all certainly add up the total, of course.
+ Yes, having xbet (extra bet, yes, yes) enabled is pretty much mandatory to get these feature streaks.
+ I mentioned that you'll have 99% chance of reaching level 2 if you have not passed the 10x guarantee mark. If you reach level 2 with a very low win (around that 10x guarantee mark), 99% of the times, you won't reach level 3. It's also based on certain win amounts. Example: If you play on €1.26 bet (with xbet), and you have around €50+ when missing 1 fisherman on level 1, you'll in most cases get to level 2. If you have €100+ when on level 2, your chances upon  reaching level 3 are great. More often than not, you will reach level 3. When on level 3, €150+ will give you good chances to reach 10x level.
+ I ALWAYS enable turbo/fast mode in settings for this slot. Probably the reason why I've been able to spin that many spins since this slot was released....
+ I often decide before I play the slot that I will spin about 50 spins to see how the slot is. If it's completely dead, I quit. If I get a feature within 25 spins, I try 50 spins again, and so on.
+ Very often when it's in a drought, you get a feature, but often, it will result in a win around the guarantee mark of 10x or so. And when it's a 10x round, as I call it, you very often get either the 10x fish (valued at €12.60 in my example) or a combination of €8.40 + €4.20 fishes, which results in €12.60. To annoy us some more, they garnish it with 1-2 fishes with the lowest value, which would be €1.68 in our example. Unfortunately, this happens very often, especially when experiencing a drought...
+ If you have fast mode enable (or not) and a drought is happening, you can actually see that there are often "0 scatter spins" as I call it, which means there is no possibility to get a feature because there are no scatters on wheel 4 and 5, which happens every now and then. The ONLY thing that can save such a spin is a hook-feature, which guarantees you a free spin.
+ There are many ways on when you will get a fisherman: 1) If you have not gotten a fisherman, you will 80% of the times get it with 3 spins remaining. If you don't get it then, you will surely get a fisherman with 2 spins remaining. There's a but on this, though: IF you get a baseline win, like a 5 of a kind that exceeds well above the 10x mark, you can actually got 10 spins without a fisherman. But yeah, the most common time when a fisherman appears for the first time is with 3 spins remaining. 2) More often than not, you WILL get to level 2 if you need 1 more fisherman and you have 5+ spins left. If you're lucky to get 2, 3 or 4 fisherman for level 2 BEFORE level 2 actually starts, it's what I call "10x pace". I've gotten to 10x level way more times than I have not when that's the case. 3) Getting back-2-back 2 fishermen in 1 spin (4 fisherman = level up), is also a good indication that you're on a 10x pace or on your way to win something nice. 4) IF, by any chance, it happens that you get 3 scatters before you have 10-15 spins remaining when you have gotten a feature with 4+ scatters, it's also a very good 10x level pace. 5) The best indicator on a 10x level pace are many early fisherman COMBINED with €50-100 win before level 1 is finished. 0 times I have failed to reach 10x level when that occurs.
+ Yes, there is another Bigger Bass-game, but its mechanics are a lot different than on BBCC, so it's most definitely not the same slot type, even thought it's in the same series.
+ The frequency on fish baseline wins you get on this vs. other Bass-releases is noticeable higher than on other Bass-releases, which is interesting.

So yeah, this is one peculiar online video slot, I must say, but for once a video slot that you very often can rely on, believe it or not. Crazy as it sounds, but it is actually the truth about this old, rare and strange slot. Like I said, this slot offers nothing like the NLC and other provider slots, but it has its mentioned neat things that'll give you some small and nice wins, as long as you know when to quit the game, like with any other slot.

As mentioned, I do not play this to win jackpot and crazy amount of €€€€ or for the FUN of it, but I use this slot for balance building and for those OK wins. When my stack is low, is when I often return to this slot. Even though I know I cannot get a max win fish or several thousand x wins, annoying as it is, I still play this slot whenever I have a low balance, because it's been a true balance saviour more often than not. Period. Once I get a nice enough balance, I move to other more fun and interesting slots, preferably NLC and Hacksaw, heh...

And that's about it. I meant to write this a long time ago, but only now I actually got this for to actually do it. Whether it matters or not, it's still one interesting slot, even if its design, gameplay, music etc. doesn't reach up to the bigger providers and such.
