Back in 2018, Push Gaming‘s Jammin’ Jars leapt out of nowhere to quickly become a firm favourite amongst players that liked its all-or-nothing, massively volatile style. ‘Leapt’ is an appropriate word, too, as those leaping jam jars were the absolute stars of the show.
Few games possess seemingly cute, friendly symbols that could evoke such strong opposing feelings. We’ve known for a while that a sequel has been brewing and have been lucky enough to catch a first glimpse of the upcoming mega release Jammin’ Jars 2. The positive news is that it’s shaping up nicely.
Push Gaming doesn’t appear to have gone massively overboard with the cosmetic alterations, electing to keep the nucleus of what players loved about the first while squeezing a bit more out of just about everything else. The game grid is the same size at 8 rows by 8 columns, while the rest of the view has been revamped. Part of Jammin’ Jars infectiousness was its upbeat disco attitude which has been enhanced in the sequel, where the action takes place in what looks like a tropical-themed club. Be assured, a similar toe-tapping groove accompanies the action, which remains as volatile as ever.
Many of the same features have been carried over, such as avalanches and mystery symbols, which can land in giant form. Most importantly, those excellent jam jars are back, leaping away from each other to player’s consternation or together to cause payouts to skyrocket. If you’ve been following Jammin’ Jars part one, you’ll know it has posted strong numbers, making it a regular on casino’s big win tables. With the tendency for sequels to go larger than their siblings, players are no doubt expecting Jammin’ Jars 2 to produce some crazy numbers.
Jammin’ Jars 2 promises to be a solid follow up. Known to take their time to perfect their creations, along with a tendency to make sure every aspect of their games is just how Push wants it makes us optimistic that Jammin’ Jars 2 will warm players’ hearts every bit as much as the original did.
