Who wouldn’t want a sequel to Immortal Romance with more cool music, new characters and thrilling features. When we first laid our eyes on Betsoft’s upcoming slot Blood Eternal our thoughts definately wandered in that direction
But this is not a new Immortal Romance so let’s just drop that thought. Sorry about the click bait intro.
We were going to kick this review off with some witty comment like “here’s something to let you sink your teeth into”, but we’re not going to drop to that level. Fact is that this game deserves more respect than that.
We weren’t really going to review a Betsoft slot to be honest. After all, most people like to read about releases from the big boy league and Betsoft is quite frankly not there yet. But it’s apparent similarities to Immortal Romance mesmerized us and caught our attention. That’s how important good looks are…or maybe that’s how shallow we are. Whatever you prefer.
Our innitial thought was, alright either this is a cheesy copy or something completely different. It turns out to be something somewhere inbetween. It’s definately not calling out IR for a fight, and maybe that was never the idea, but you can’t help to compare the two of them when you find a game with bats, vampires and actually quite a decent soundtrack.
But here you’ll find no random features creeping up on you to the sound of a heartbeat, nor are there any characters you will get to learn by name. They do however got one annoying thing in common – a whole lot of scatter teasing. But here it’s quite possibly even worse since that teasing spin is way too dragged out. If you have ever played Yggdrasil’s Super Heroes you will know what we’re talking about. Jeez, just get it over with ffs!
Play area and symbols
Blood Eternal has a setup of 6 reels, 3 rows, 30 lines and pays both ways. We’re not going to take you through boring details about specific symbols because they don’t stand out much from any other game, but it can be worth mentioning that there are 6 premium symbols, the wild included, and 4 low value symbols represented by the usual A, K, Q and J letters. The wild symbol doesn’t hold much value in itself and a line of 6 only payes 25 times the bet. What’s interesting instead is the so called Double Bat Feature.
There are BAT symbols and DOUBLE BAT symbols. DOUBLE BAT symbols count as 2 regular BAT symbols, in a single space, meaning you can trigger a win equivalent to 12 BAT symbols on a single line. This can award you up to 50000 coins or 333 times the bet.
Vampire Free Spins
When a vampire and human symbol appear sideby-side on adjacent reels, the VAMPIRE FREE SPINS feature begins starting with 8 free spins. During Free Spins, blood splatters will spread from the Vampire and Human symbols, turning whatever symbols they land on WILD!
The triggered vampire and human symbols are held in place for the duration of the bonus and take on the role as sticky wilds. If you land another vampire/human combo these will stick as well and retrigger giving you additional 8 spins. The bonus is quite entertaining with good music (the music played during big wins is the bomb!) and a lot of action. If our calculations are correct it has really good potential with a max win of 6437x.
Eternal Blood is hot! Graphically it is quite stunning and much effort seems to have been put into the sound effects and the music. Unfortunately the rtp is a bit on the low end at 95.03% but we still feel this slot has potential to become somewhat of a breakthrough for Betsoft. We’ll definately give them an A for effort and it’s going to be exciting to see what you guys think of it.
