Twin Spin Deluxe

Slot Review (NetEnt)

The classic slot Twin Spin has a new sibling - Twin Spin Deluxe

Even if you happen to be a fan of Twin Spin, you're not guaranteed to fall for this one. At first glance it looks recognizable, but the mechanics of the game is very different, being sort of a mix between Twin Spin and Aloha (weird, right?). The thing is, that instead of 243 ways gameplay, it now makes use of the cluster game engine (ugh), requiring you to land a cluster of 9 symbols to achieve a winning combination

Deluxe has 6 reels compared to 5 on the original version and comes with a max win of 1000 times the bet per spin. Now, we are well aware of the fact that you can't make a fair judgement after only a few session, but it was undoubtedly hard to appreciate this one. Mostly, we experienced dead spins and when we finally landed a "big win", it was giving us a celebration screen for wins as low as 15x the stake. Meh...

In terms of graphics, symbols and sound it's pretty much the same as in the original except they cleaned it up a bit, making it look slightly more futuristic. The randomly triggered synchronized reel spins are still there, which is pretty much its trademark.

Twin Spin Deluxe is a medium variance slot with an rtp of 96.61%. It's fun to try once, maybe twice at best, but we'll stick to the classic version as we're not a big fan of the cluster mechanics. For those who want some more potential in a slot, Twin Spin Megaways, which is a modern take on the original, might be the better choice.
