Michael Myers is back to haunt you – or your wallet?
The movie Halloween was released in 1978 with the hot Jamie Lee Curtis in the main role. Today it has become a true horror classic and Microgaming have secured the rights for this game based on the movie.
Unfortunately not too much information is available at this point other than the promo video uploaded to Youtube by Microgaming a few days ago. We don’t know the rtp yet nor the day of release. But it’s always fun to speculate at it’s possible to draw a few conclusions based on what we have.
Have you noticed how Microgaming tends to release games with two different control panels? Maybe we our out of our limb here but it seems like this type of control panel is used with games with a lower type of variance. In other words, games with less potential of massive wins than say the recently released Jurassic World.
The max win potential is unknown at this point, but no monster wins were at least showcased in the promo video. What we do know is that the play area is made up of 50 lines, 5 reels and 3 rows. 3 of the reels appears to spin in synchronization as the synchronized part moves randomly across the area.[table “12” not found /]
It’s not clear if there are separate bonus and scatter symbols, but it seems not. The impression we got is that it’s a bit like Microgaming’s Tarzan or Bridesmaids in this aspect. You trigger the bonus by landing 3 bonus symbols which then takes you to a bonus wheel with guaranteed wins (in this case), either through multiplier wins or by triggering free spins on the wheel.
Quite possibly it’s the free spins mode you want to trigger in the bonus since the multiplier wins don’t look too impressive with a max win of 10x. At least that’s the way it is in most games produced by Microgaming with this type of feature. We have no reason to think otherwise here.
In the free spins mode stacked symbols is what appears to be the thing. It’s quite likely that the different characters are of different value as well of course.

From the little we’ve seen it’s hard to be sure about anything really. But this doesn’t appear to be anything revolutionary or super exciting. It’s pretty fun with the movie theme and the horror music adds some entertainment value.
Rtp has not yet been revealed but a qualified guess is the rtp is going to be somewhere around the 95-96% range. Max win on this game is 500x.
We promise to report back if anything new comes in.[table “14” not found /]
