Currently there are two slots we’re looking forward to a little bit more than the rest. Both from Swedish providers NetEnt and Yggdrasil. NetEnt is definately one of the top giants in the industry together with providers such as Microgaming, Novomatic and WMS but Yggdrasil is working it’s way up to the top with a really good catalogue, even though we must admit that some of the recent releases have been a bit hit and miss (Sunny Shores? Meh…). But Yggdrasil might have something very interesting going on now.
With the upcoming release of Jungle Book Yggdrasil claims to roll out a “ground-breaking game mechanic” called Fusion Realms. This is how they explain it in their own words:
The new mechanic allows Yggdrasil to build even bigger and more captivating game worlds, where features can roam between different environments and reel set-ups in one game.
The full power of Fusion Realms will be showcased in Yggdrasil’s blockbuster game, The Jungle Book Slot, which will be launched later this year.
The Jungle Book Slot uses Fusion Realms™ to feature five characters, each with two individual features, jumping between five different game modes, creating a myriad of different ways to win. The game blends 2D and 3D cinematic animations to achieve Triple A quality graphics.
Fusion Realms™ is just the latest in a long line of industry-firsts from Yggdrasil, including its innovative social media sharing tool, BRAG. Yggdrasil has also filed to patent the unique and ground-breaking technology in the US, with the application pending.

Moving on to NetEnt who are soon to release the third game in the FairyTale series. After FairyTale Legends: Red Riding Hood and Fairytale Legends: Hansel and Gretel here comes FairyTale: Cinderella. Now, the volatility and looks of these games may not attract the most hardcore gamblers but you got to admit, when it comes to NetEnt’s games you know nothing seems to slip through quality control and this game will likely be no exception to that rule. However, we must admit that we do not know much about this game yet but it’s no wild guess it will be recognizable to the FairyTale series in terms of looks and gameplay but we’ll have to wait and see when the slot rolls out 5 July on Rizk, Thrills and Videoslots.
