10000X Gold 2: Slot Overview
Software provider 4ThePlayer's online slot 10000X Gold wasn't a high-scoring game when it was reviewed, but that didn't stop it from becoming one of the studio's 'top performing titles', according to 4ThePlayer themselves. The developer has chosen to make the most of that success by following up with 10000X Gold 2. The sequel, for the most part, delivers a repeat performance of the first slot, while dialling it up a notch. This means the upper limits on some of the Boosting Fortunes prizes have been lifted, and the Stack Xpand has been boosted by a Double X symbol to produce an X-ier sequel.
X marks the spot, where a shimmering blue, gold, and purple X pattern adorns the background, though visual changes have occurred. For one, the prize wheel has both gone from view and gone from the game. Now, players enter a pick me round as the method of awarding the Boosting Fortunes prizes. Yeah, they're still here, displayed above the main grid incrementing when Coins (or wilds in free spins) land, up to limits which have been expanded beyond the previous 10000X Gold's limitations. At least, the three upper prizes are now potentially greater. What 4ThePlayer has also brought back is a rocking soundtrack, which could have felt out of place, but actually enhances the experience.

Like last time, 10000X Gold 2 is played on a 5-reel, 4-row gaming area with 1,024 ways to win. Winning combinations begin on the leftmost side when matching symbols land on adjacent reels. Two RTP levels have been designed, 94% is the top one, while the volatility is high. As well as being able to pick a stake from $/€0.20 to $/€20, gamblers are also able to buy two features if they'd rather play 10000X Gold 2 that way.
Classic slot icons rule the paytable, such as 10-A card ranks, bells, gold bars, dollar signs, dice, casino chips, and X symbols. Getting 5 matching symbols in a winning combination pays 0.15x to 0.25x the stake. Wild stars hit on all reels except the leftmost, substituting all symbols except scatters.
10000X Gold 2: Slot Features

Getting the most out of 10000X Gold 2 likely means triggering features such as Boosting Fortunes prizes, Stack Expands, and free spins, while a couple of feature buys are also tagged on.
Boosting Fortunes
10000X Gold 2 has five dynamic Fortune prizes - the Mini, Big, Super, Mega, and Ultra, each one sits above a reel. Landing a Coin on a symbol increases the Fortune prize above that reel by 0.05x to 0.5x the bet. Landing a wild in free spins also increases its reel's prize value. When at least one Gold Coin lands on a symbol, the Fortune Bonus may trigger. Players pick objects in the Fortune Bonus until 3 of the same token are revealed. Then the prize corresponding to that token is awarded. Awarded Fortune prizes reset to their starting value. Prize values range from 8x-80x for the Mini, 12x-120x for the Midi, 100x -1,000x for the Super, 300x-3,000x, and 1,000x-10,000x for the Ultra. This feature can trigger in the base game or in free spins, but not on a free spins trigger.
Stack Expand
In the base game or during free spins, landing 4 X symbols on the same reel triggers the Stack Xpand feature. The 4 X symbols combine to form a single X symbol with a multiplier of x5 to x10. Stacks on adjacent reels combine to form a single multi-reel stack that multiplies their multipliers to form a single value. The stack multiplier is used to calculate how many symbols are on this reel for the win evaluation.
Free Spins
Hitting 3, 4, or 5 scatters triggers 8, 15, or 25 free spins, respectively. During free spins, Double X symbols may land. Each Double X symbol on a reel counts as 2 regular X symbols when calculating wins. Double X symbols can land in a stack, though not in a mixed stack with normal X symbols. Landing 4 Double X symbols on the same reel triggers the Stack Xpand feature, which combines them into a single X symbol with a stack multiplier of x10 to x20. Wild symbols landing in free spins expand to fill the reel as a single wild carrying a stack multiplier of x6 to x12. Stack multipliers denote how many symbols are on the reel for win evaluations. Hit two scatter symbols and +4 free spins are awarded.
Feature Buy
Gamblers are able to buy a spin with a guaranteed Stack Xpand win for 100x or a free spins trigger for 50x the bet.

10000X Gold 2: Slot Verdict
10000X Gold 2 is a brute force sequel that takes the original and slaps on wads of extra meat. It essentially does most of what 10000X Gold did, but just does more of it. This should sit well with gamblers who enjoyed the original and had no desire to really mess with the formula. The prize wheel has gone, though that's no biggie. It's still possible to grow the five Boosting Fortunes prizes, and winning them from a wheel or via a pick process is neither here nor there. What has changed is the three upper prize values - the Midi, Super, and Ultra, are worth twice as much when they reach their cap, or 10,000x in the case of the Ultra. 10000X Gold 2 doesn't stop there, though, but actually posts full winning potential of 20,000x, far in excess of the original.
So the numbers are greater, the gameplay? It's been cranked up a notch as well, partly due to the new Double X symbol, which, while it works in the same way as a regular X, has double the symbol multiplier. It's only available in free spins, so players will need to be in that phase of play to feel the effect. Outside this new extra, 10000X Gold 2 is basically business as usual: collect Coins, build stacks, grow jackpots. Hey, if it worked for 4ThePlayer before, there are no obvious reasons why it can't work again.
4ThePlayer has added to its 'Gold' series of slots (7 Gold Gigablox, 4K Ultra Gold, as examples) with a sequel that doesn't rock the boat but does boast a bigger paddle. 10000X Gold 2 might not win over gamblers who haven't already fallen for the studio's Gold lineup, yet players who took delight in the original should be a-okay with this one, too.
10000X Gold 2 sticks closely to the original formula while turning the dials up, delivering bigger numbers, higher caps, and more firepower without really reinventing the series.
