- Master Joker (Pragmatic Play) Slot ReviewJanuary 17, 2020Master Joker has an old-fashioned arcade appeal and, for what it is, wears its simple premise quite well. Ultra fast one row, one payline action. High volatility with high rewards. Master Joker (Pragmatic Play): Overview Pragmatic Play appears to be on a bit of a fruit binge at the moment. Hot on the heels of their recent Vegas-style slot Super 7s comes a new one called Master Joker. Fruity themed slots are well known for their unsophisticated styling and gameplay, and Master Joker takes this concept almost to its extreme. For fast-paced, simple gameplay look no further. Yet again, the already chock full fruit/Vegas category has a new addition with which to tempt players. Is it going to though? The question is whether Master Joker will make any sort of impact or be as forgettable as Super 7s was. Despite being completely different in most respects, the first slot that sprang to mind when Master Joker loaded was Seven 7’s from Crazy Tooth. Using only one row as well, it also caused surprise at how little seems to be going on. Master Joker has an intriguing wheel hovering over the reel so let’s find out how it all operates. One of the first details to leap off the paytable is volatility. Five solid yellow lightning bolts indicate that Master Joker is about as volatile as it gets from Pragmatic Play. That setting along with the high potential will either light fires or have players running for the hills. Less intimidating is the default RTP which sits at a respectable 96.46%. This number can be lowered by the operator, however, so be sure to check before you hit the spin button. Master Joker’s setup is super minimalist – just 1 row with 5 symbols and 1 payline, that’s it. The benefit of only having one payline means that bets start as low as one penny per spin, but can be raised as high as £/€100 if necessary. You don’t see too many penny slots that actually cost just a penny per spin. That fact might appeal to players looking to stretch their bankrolls as much as possible. Other options that are affected include quick spins which take on a whole new meaning with just one row in play. Seriously, set a hundred auto spins, turn away for a minute, and they are all but gone when you look back. Master Joker redefines the meaning of the phrase ‘fast-paced.’ Combinations in Master Joker are formed by matching three or more symbols on the row. The great thing is that matching symbols don’t need sit side by side, or start from the first reel. As long as there are three or more anywhere on the row, boom, you have a winner. It’s kind of like Ra special symbols in that regard. This mixes things up a little and means that you aren’t just staring at the first 3 reels most of the time. When it comes to symbols, it is fruit and classic icons all the way. From low to high, the game has strawberries, lemons, cherries, plums, watermelons, and gold bars. The most valuable, and by far rarest, symbol is the 7 which is worth 100 times the stake for a full row of five. Decent values, which are quickly made better by the uncomplicated, yet clever, features. Master Joker (Pragmatic Play): Features Max win triggered Master Joker’s features are few but effective and revolve around the joker symbol. The joker only lands on the middle 3rd reel, and can substitute for any other symbol in the game. One cool thing is that the wild can create two different symbol combos on one spin. For example, if 2 lemons, 2 cherries, and a wild land, players are awarded for both combinations rather than the highest of the two which is what usually happens. Also, when the joker is involved in a win, it triggers a spin of the Multiplier Wheel feature. The wheel provides multipliers of x2, x3, x5, x10, x15, x25, x50, and x100. Whichever multiplier the wheel lands on is applied to the total win of the spin it was triggered on. Master Joker (Pragmatic Play): Verdict In spite of its simplicity, Master Joker does make something of an impact. It might not be a huge one, but in a way, it works. The game seems almost too basic at first, but it starts to make a kind of sense after a few spins. In a category that bulges like an overstuffed sausage, Master Joker manages to stand out and feel somewhat fresh. It is unlikely to be an all-time favourite, but it possesses a couple of selling points. For one, players can spin for just a penny which makes it suitable for stretching out those last few bucks left in an account. One observation though is that there was a noticeable difference in results between betting small and large. There is no mention of this in the paytable, so it was probably pure chance, but larger bets led to significantly better returns during test runs. Again, no doubt random, but it might be worth investigating in demo mode perhaps if you are curious. The second selling point is that for such a rudimentary game, it offers good potential. Land 4 sevens, a joker, and a x100 multiplier from the Multiplier Reel and you’ve bagged an instant 10,000 times the stake. Again, no faffing about triggering bonus rounds or collecting scatters required here. It takes a certain amount of creativity and thinking outside the box to make a fruit slot feel novel. Kudos go to the creative team at Pragmatic for doing so. Master Joker is far more memorable than Super 7s was and is capable of entertaining players looking for something ultra-quick and easy to blast through....
- Pirates’ Frenzy (Blueprint Gaming) Slot ReviewJanuary 16, 2020Pirates’ Frenzy is a retro extravaganza that quickly wears thin. Old school gaming with an optional 6th reel. Features include Free Spins with Pirate Scatters that collect bags of coins. Main game Pirates’ Frenzy (Blueprint Gaming): Overview Pirates’ Frenzy from Blueprint partners Reel Time Gaming takes its inspiration from a classic slot in their back catalogue called Fishin Frenzy and which went on to spawn an updated Megaways version recently. It clearly struck a chord with a lot of fishermen who spun reels in their spare time, or wannabe anglers pining for some open-air action. Now the team is back with a another follow up which remains ocean bound, but revolves around the romanticised world of pirating. For better or for worse, the developers have stuck with graphics that looked dated even when Fishin Frenzy was released several years ago. Yes it ties the two together, and it will please fans of the first, but for newer players used to flashy modern graphics, there’s a real danger of harming their eyes. For old school video gamers, the visuals will reawaken the pioneering days of the 1990s when ‘cutting edge’ VGA graphic cards could conjure up 256 colours at the most. That thought will either produce a frisson of delight or a shudder of fear. On an encouraging note, the background is bright, friendly, and a timely reminder of warmer climes. Right on the beach lies the main game area made up initially of 5 reels and 3 rows. On the right-hand side is the optional 6th reel which we will get to soon. The 10 paylines are displayed on the sides of the reels, just like they used to have back in the day – an instant signal of retro status right there. Players bait up, sorry wrong slot, ante up by selecting an appropriate bet, and the choices are quite phenomenal. Low rollers can have a punt from 20 p/c a spin while high rollers will be in betting Nirvana with five reel bets as high as £/€400. Even that daring figure pales in comparison with what is possible when the 6th reel is activated. The paytable once again reinforces the old school nature of Pirates’ Frenzy in look and layout. Starting things off are card royals 9 –A followed by bags of coins, a bottle of hooch, and some oranges to fend off the scurvy. Things heat up with an anchor symbol, and finally, a parrot – every prate needs one of those keeping their shoulder warm. In five-reel mode, a line of parrots pays out a jolly good 200 times the stake. Three of more symbols create a winning combo, except the trusty parrot who needs only two. Our dashing Captain Sparrow lookalike has two jobs to do during Pirates’ Frenzy, and one of them is as the wild. He can helpfully substitute for any other pay symbol and is worth a stack of coins as well. Get five of him on a payline during the five reel game, and he returns 500 times the stake. When it comes to mechanics, the original Fishin’ Frenzy was a gentle, medium variance slot so it feels like Blueprint Gaming has turned that setting up a notch or two this time. RTP has remained the same though at 96.12%. The other elements that have remained relatively the same, albeit with in-theme tweaks and additions, are the features. Pirates’ Frenzy (Blueprint Gaming): Features Free spins round The most obvious addition is that mysterious 6th reel. It can be activated at any time and brings several benefits. When activated, it makes 6 symbol combinations possible – 6 symbol combos are worth double what their matching 5 symbol counterparts are worth. One other benefit of the 6th reel is that more gold bag symbols and scatters appear in the game. As always, there is a cost for these game modifiers and in this case, it doubles the bet. For those on max bet that means an eye-watering 800 credits per spin. One thing to note is that while the stake is doubled, coin values remain the same. As an example, the minimum 5 reel bet is 20c which gives a coin value of 2c per line. Activate the 6th reel and the bet doubles to 40c, but coin value per line remains at 2c. Just something to keep in mind. The final symbol is the boat scatter – land 3, 4, 5, or 6 of these to be awarded 10, 15, 20, or 50 Free Spins respectively. During free spins, the money bag symbols appear with values of 20, 50, 100, 150, 200, or 500 coins attached. When these symbols land at the same time as the Pirate Scatters, they are scooped up and paid out to the player. This feature ends when the free spins run down to zero, and they cannot be retriggered. Pirates’ Frenzy (Blueprint Gaming): Verdict Pirate’s Frenzy is quite a polarising slot that won’t please everyone. Its graphics see to that. For the younger generation of players used to modern 3D spectaculars, the initial ocular assault takes a little time to get used to. Yeah okay, Reel Time Gaming has gone for a passé look on purpose in order to preserve its land-based feel, but some will find it pretty darn ugly. Maybe we are being tough on the looks, but they are so extreme the game might be best suited to hardcore fans of retro slots. Not only though, players that enjoyed reeling in fish with Fishin’ Frenzy will get just as much joy out of scooping up sacks of gold during the bonus game too. On the topic of features, it is worth taking the time to work out if the optional 6th reel is worth engaging. For players looking to go large it makes sense as it adds bigger combos, more scatters and gold bags which is a good thing. Yet, the extra cost can quickly add up. At its extreme, betting 800 credits a pop is truly heroic, and that’s not just because of cost but mathematics. Max potential is capped at £250,000 or 10,000 times the bet, whichever comes first. It’s a good figure to be sure, but it won’t take much for high rollers to breach that cap. Either way, it’s really hard to imagine how anyone would ever come close to the 10,000x cap. Even a 1,000x win in this slot would seem like a miracle. Again, something to bear in mind. Overall, it’s an ok game, if you can handle the old fashioned styling and simplistic nature of it. In saying that, it’s not hard to find better looking, more exciting pirating themed slots on the market....
- Royal Mint Megaways (Big Time Gaming) Slot ReviewJanuary 15, 2020Royal Mint Megaways isn’t particularly original in any specific regard, but its solid combination of features collectively form a unique and thrilling experience. Features the Triple Reaction™ mechanic. Heartstopper™ Enhanced Free Spins Round with unlimited multipliers. Royal Mint Megaways (Big Time Gaming): Overview Brace yourself players, Big Time Gaming has emerged from midwinter hibernation to drop a brand new slot. That doesn’t happen super regularly, so a release from BTG is always a pretty big deal. Those keen Aussie developers are famous for taking slots in new and innovative directions after all. As well as being responsible for one of, if not the, most popular game engine right now, they are also infamous for conjuring up new and exciting features. So news of a fresh release from the team spreads ripples through the community far and wide. While this is an enviable position that any developer would want to be in, you can imagine the weight of expectation that is resting on their shoulders with each release. Not every slot can be a ground breaking game that shatters the envelope, or can it? Let’s fire up their latest effort Royal Mint and see what players can look forward to spinning. First up, Megaways drives the action in this slot as does Big Time Gaming’s Triple Reaction™ mechanic – their second game to do so after having been introduced in Opal Fruits. So we get 6 reels with up to 7 symbols on the main area that together can combine to give you up to 117,649 ways to win. There are also two bonus 1×4 reels above and below the main area thanks to the Triple Reaction™ feature. The game is based around the British Royal Mint which produces coins for the UK. Visually, it looks stunning with a view of the famous Johnson Smirke Building constructed in 1811. The colours are dominated by stone grey mixed with gold details and there are two cherry blossom trees flanking the reels to give it a bit of warmth. In case you didn’t get the banking reference, a Monopoly inspired soundtrack plays in the background as you spin the reels. To get this mint cranking, players select bets from 20 p/c to £/€10 and hit spin on virtually any device. Winning combinations are made of matching symbols on any row from left to right with three or more are needed to form a winning combination. On the low side, there are 9-A royals, topped up by 4 high pays – green, blue, red, and purple rectangular gems in the same style we are used to from BTG. The elusive purple is the best as only 2 are required for a win – six of a kind is worth 50 times the stake. As always, Megaways brings its Reaction feature to up the win rate. It does this by removing winning combinations and replacing them with new symbols that fall into the gaps. Reactions continue until no more winners appear. The shiny rainbow-like wild is there to help out, and it appears only on the top and bottom bonus reels to substitute for any symbol except the scatter. Royal Mint not a gentle game, oh no, the high volatility sees to that. It’s not necessarily tight either though, with an RTP of 96.48% which is comfortably above average. What makes it a toughie is due more to the way the game is geared towards collecting scatters and unlocking the fabled enhanced free spins. Do that, and you have a chance of raiding the vault. Until that happens, without multipliers like we got with Lil’ Devil, the base came can drag. In fact the main game is more or less a place holder until the features eventually drop although there is potential for some decent wins. Royal Mint Megaways (Big Time Gaming): Features Enhanced Free Spins in action Free spins and enhanced free spins are the name of the game. Land a minimum of four scatter symbols to spell M. I. N. T and they’ll trigger 12 Free Spins. If any additional scatter happens to be on screen they grant an additional 4+ spins. This free spin round has an unlimited multiplier that starts at x1 and increases by 1 after every Reaction. Scatters continue to show up during the round, but only on the extra reels. Three in view add 4 more spins, and any additional scatter adds a further 4 to the tally. In other words, pretty standard stuff so far. What you really want to happen is the game’s showpiece feature. This is the Heartstopper™ Enhanced Free Spins round which offers better rewards but which the game makes you work hard to crack. In the main game, every time 3 scatters land in view (a scatter tease as we like to call it) they grant 1 Gold Bar which is collected. When you have racked up 40 Gold Bars an extra scatter is held beside the reels until the next free spin round is triggered. This time, instead of the regular free spins, they trigger the Enhanced Free Spins. The difference is that the win multiplier starts at x2 and increases by 2+ following each Reaction. After the round has been played, the collection meter resets and the grinding game starts all over again. Royal Mint Megaways (Big Time Gaming): Verdict Royal Mint Megaways is a top game, no doubt about that but there are also mixed feelings about this one – the main issue being the collection/grinding element of the game which seems to divide the community. Moreover, it’s a little run of the mill, being simply a Megaways slot with a couple of free spin rounds piled on top. The overall result is a straight forward game that fails to break boundaries. Is that a slight chink in the armour? Is this further evidence that Big Time Gaming is not quite as innovative as they were once known to be and what made them such a leading developer or have other developers finally caught up? What might put players off is the sheer difficulty of triggering the bonus features. There is very little happening during the base game, so Royal Mint relies entirely on the strength of its free spins – surely making it even more volatile than Lil Devil. Testing required some insane commitments of time and credits to see what Royal Mint was capable of. To give an example, it took us 2 hours and 30 minutes to trigger the first bonus which didn’t actually trigger the regular way but only after we had collected all 40 gold bars. What was even more painful was the fact that it only ended up paying around 60x so prepare for a beating if you decide to take this one on. Later bonuses, however, typically dropped far more frequently so that was not the norm, thankfully. In any case, players who expressed frustration with collection features like those found in Kingmaker will not be chuffed with their inclusion here. To be fair, this device does work way better with Royal Mint, so it’s not quite the deal-breaker it could be. With that said, when Royal Mint Megaways does hit its stride with Enhanced Free Spins, the +2 multipliers increments is a sweet touch. Luck and slots are fickle, and the bonus game is capable of substantial returns. At full stretch, the game is like a hit job on the Royal Mint with max potential in the neighbourhood of 40,000 times the stake. Yes Royal Mint is a good game, but is it a great one? Time will tell if it really resonates with the community or not. It’s not BTG’s finest, most innovative moment, so clearly, not every release can be avant-garde. Perhaps we are being a little too critical, but with BTG’s stellar track record they only have themselves to blame. Their consistent high standard attracts extra scrutiny whenever they drop a new title, so it is easy to feel a pang of disappointment if it isn’t a complete game changer. Despite the critique, Royal Mint Megaways is a solid slot and more than capable of entertaining players with what it has to offer. For a better understand of the game, make sure to read our chat with Big Time Gaming CEO Nik Robinson which gives an excellent insight into the development and story behind the production....
- Royal Mint Megaways Q&A with Big Time Gaming CEO Nik RobinsonJanuary 15, 2020Bigwinboard meets Big Time Gaming CEO Nik Robinson for an exclusive chat about Royal Mint Megaways. We spent the whole day playing your new slot Royal Mint Megaways and had a lot of fun doing so. First impression – Lil Devil with a touch of Opal Fruits, and the volatility cranked up to 11. Would you agree? Team BTG has done an incredible job with Royal Mint and it smacks of its three-year-old predecessor Bonanza with a whole lot more under the hood! Royal Mint has the DNA of Bonanza, Opal Fruits, and Lil Devil. The base can be fairly forgiving, the Triple Reaction ads extra wilds to the base game while opening up the potential for crazy retrigger action in the free games, allowing up to 24 extra spins on a single retrigger. Royal Mint does not necessarily have to be a grind, players can hit the feature at any time, and as we’ve seen with Lil Devil, standard features can be just as rewarding as HeartStoppers. HeartStoppers are value-added; if you go the course, then you may get an extraordinary win; however, you also may be left with 10x! It’s all down to luck at the end of the day. The production quality is excellent, and the game has a nice vibe to it, but what in the world is a ”Royal Mint” and what inspired the theme? We wanted to do a banking theme, but there are so many bank themed slots in the market that I decided to take a different approach. A Mint is an industrial facility that manufactures coins and notes. I think it will go down well with the team at CasinoDaddy who love to start up the printer when they stream our slots; they’ve had some Lil Devil wins over x20,000 on a live stream, so I’m sure they’ll be booting up the royal printer regularly! We know you’re usually personally involved in the development of the games, was that the case with Royal Mint as well? Yes, I don’t think that’s ever going to change, I’ve got a burning passion for slot development, and each game gets my full attention. Royal Mint was conceived as a Triple Reaction back in June 2017; however, we decided to push Opal Fruits first to test out the Triple Reaction. Otherwise, it may have been too complicated for players without Opal Fruits as a stepping stone. Royal Mint had been baking a long time on a slow heat, Triple Reaction, I guess is the icing, and the HeartStopper is the Cherry on top! Excitingly, the minimum density of Royal Mint is 1024 with top and bottom wilds, creating a real beast under the bonnet. There’s a lot of commentary action to read and report in terms of the gameplay because you can see wins queuing up on the top and the bottom with new reactions forming more potential for new symbol matches than ever before, the perfect storm for Twitch commentary. In our opinion, the Heartstopper feature is one of your best innovations since Megaways. It adds an extra dimension to the game which is something many developers struggle to do. In Lil’ Devil, the enhanced spins give you either an additional sticky wild or a higher win multiplier depending on which bonus option you choose. Can you tell us what the benefit is in this game? HeartStopper was born out of my biggest bugbear in slots, is when your heart races for the final scatter and then nothing, HeartStopper gives you something, it might not be much, but it rewards you, and when you hit the top there’s an entirely new game to play. With Royal Mint, we’ve taken HeartStopper to another dimension altogether, as you know with Lil’ Devil, we added an Extra Symbol for the Angel feature and a higher multi kickoff for the Dynamite Lovers! So, in Royal Mint, which is genuinely a long slog, we’ve taken the multiplier of Bonanza, but instead of going up by one, it goes up by two, so… x2,x4,x6,x8,x10, etc. with every reaction, I’ve had an x56 multi, but it can go way higher! A word of warning, to put this feature into perspective, you need to think about how frequent the bonus is on Danger and then extrapolate that to Lil Devil. Before you start playing Royal Mint, you might want to do the same equation using Bonanza to get the feel of where the HeartStopper sits with Royal Mint. Not so much an excursion as an expedition! Less of a long haul, more like a flight to Mars. The volatility is obviously higher than what we had with Lil’ Devil. Royal Mint seems more like an all or nothing slot, which we have to admit suits us as hardcore gamers quite well. What kind of potential are we speaking of? 40,000x plus in a single spin which you could get multiples of in the free spins as the multiplier keeps on increasing by 2 for every win, so if you do get up and over x50, four ways of purples alone will pay x10,000. Royal Mint is going to be a hit for sure. What else do you have going on at the moment? Our next game of the year is going to be another colossal brand. After that, we have something brand new; it’s possibly one of the best ideas I’ve ever had. We’re currently going all out with U.S. patents at the moment to give a new concept as much protection as possible. Still, at the same time, I think it’s so insanely complicated, it will keep the copy cats at bay for some time to come, saying that though like all our games, it will be super simple to play. I really cannot wait to share this one with your readers, as it brings so many new things into play! From our understanding, Megaways will hit One hundred games in the next couple of months! The impact of Megaways has been huge, and it doesn’t even seem to be slowing down. What are your thoughts on that? I will say that the providers that have taken on the license and built on the strength of the Megaways format have had great success. It has put many new providers on the map and allowed monolithic businesses like SG and, more recently, NetEnt to refresh their product lines; it’s also fascinating to see how our licensees bring their twists to the Megaways format. Bonanza so happens to be the highest-scoring online slot in the history of Bigwinboard.com with a near-perfect score of 99%. It’s such an iconic slot that marked the beginning of a whole new era in the world of iGaming. Do you think you’ll ever be able to beat that score? Let’s revisit that in May, nothing’s perfect, but BTG will undoubtedly be taking a rifle shot at a 99% score again for the previously mentioned thang! Thank you for allowing us to have a chat with you, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store next! Thanks Bigwinboard, and I look forward to catching up again soon!...

Having been part of the casino streaming community for a few years, we decided it was finally time to move on to fully dedicate our time to the site. It's quite remarkable how far we've come since the launch in March of 2017. With tens of thousands of monthly visitors, we've now grown to become one of the most influential casino portals in the world. The casino streaming years brought with it several positive aspects - it enabled us to learn the fundamentals of slots, the companies that develop them, and the iGaming industry as a whole. Moreover, it has given us the opportunity to play at a vast number of casinos while also gaining experience of how casinos operate - knowledge we're happy to share with our readers.
What Makes Bigwinboard Unique?
There are several significant key factors that make us stand out from other similar casino sites. To us, trust is the single most important principle and an integral part of our policy. Trust is something that helps build a long-term relationship with our beloved readers which is why we write all our articles from the perspective of the player. Being slot enthusiasts, we always make sure to write articles and reviews we would have liked to read ourselves. This is why you won’t find generic, advertising type online slot reviews here. There are more than enough unscrupulous casino sites on the web promoting bad casinos and awful slots, something we work hard to distance ourselves from.
Before we even consider listing a casino, it has to meet certain criteria. For example, we don’t promote off-shore casinos in order to protect our readers as they’re all too ofteny licensed by smokescreen regulatory authorities. Furthermore, we perform extensive background research before any casino is allowed a position on our site and we only list the brands considered to be the best in the industry. Because of our explosive growth rate and solid reputation, many casinos ask us to list their brands, something that gives us an opportunity to negotiate exclusive welcome bonuses such as the ones found on our 200% casino bonus, best online casinos and best casino bonus pages.
What we have become best known for is likely our news reports and online slot reviews in particular. As we’re in direct contact with representatives of all the best game developers, such as NetEnt, Big Time Gaming, Quickspin, Play’n GO, Red Tiger, and Merkur, we’re often allowed access to new slots before launch, making it possible for us to test games in order to give you an understanding of what you will be up against when the games are finally released, hopefully saving you from wasting money on bad slots. Having connections on the inside has also enabled us to publish scoops and information about games long before their actual release. There is more than one example of us having published news of upcoming major releases before anyone else. This is also why our competitors use Bigwinboard.com as their primary source!
But it’s not only our exclusive material that attract readers. If you want to read truly unbiased slot reviews, there is no better option out there but Bigwinboard.com. While other casino sites traditionally have used money and greed as a source of inspiration, which so obviously shines through in their reviews (no, not every slot is amazing), our philosophy is completely different. From the very first start, our ambition has been to create a fun site, but also a site that helps guide the players in making the right decision by providing truly unbiased reviews. If a slot is bad, we will truthfully say so, sometimes in a very blunt manner. We also take great responsibility in the casinos we promote. If you’re ever treated unfairly at any of the casinos we promote, don’t hesitate to drop us a line and we’ll look into it! Bad casins do not belong here and we always side with the players.
We Value Your Input!
The only way to improve and become better is to listen to what our readers have to say. One way to voice your opinion is by using the comment section found at the bottom of each slot review. There have been more than a few instances of readers making corrections to our articles. There have been instances when our calculations have been wrong and other times when we've jumped to conclusions that have been a bit too far out. We're grateful for any feedback we can get and you're always 100% anonymous when writing on Bigwinboard.com. We're also keen on learning about your experiences playing on our accredited casinos so keep it coming!
Although we always keep an eye on what's being said about our accredited casinos, it's really only through your feedback that we can make the right decisions. If you've been treated in an unfair manner by one of our casinos, we want to know so. Hopefully, we may be able to help work out a solution. If not, the casino in question may lose its accreditation status. Nothing is more important than the safety of our players.
