Safari of Wealth's title got us thinking about what an actual safari through other people's wealth would be like. Safari of Wealth ticks the right boxes graphically speaking for this sort of game. Wavy grass, a snaking river, trees, mountains, blue skies with a chance of rain, and plenty of bucket list beasts. Most of the screen is taken up by a 5x3, 243 ways grid, but you get a nice taste of the African Savannah, and the soundtrack is equally bubbly. However, there is little here players won't have seen before, and Safari of Wealth isn't exactly a slot Play'n GO probably had to push themselves to produce.

Safari of Wealth is one of those games that does what it says on the tin while trying hard not to rock any boats. Players can pretty much count on getting what they are signing up for, and there are unlikely to be any surprises. As such, if you're tooling around for dependably straightforward Africa gaming, then Safari of Wealth could be the right choice. This dependability is as much a liability as a benefit, though. From theme to features, there is little to get overly excited about, and you kind of expect more from a studio as established as Play'n GO. Still, with such a busy schedule, they're sure to fire off the odd shelf filler, and Safari of Wealth does feel a lot like that.

There's nothing overly critical to say from a technical standpoint, and Safari of Wealth has a couple of okay features. The base game isn't the most engaging, relying on an old-fashioned pick 'n click with an admittedly valuable wildebeest top prize to mix up the flow. Free spins are just as simplistic, too, really. Having options is always nice, but nothing overly special happens in free spins aside from some grid height alterations. Hey ho, good things can certainly occur here, and potential is positive as Safari of Wealth maxes out at 10,000x the bet.

Apologies if this review is coming across a bit bland. The reaction to Safari of Wealth was just so lukewarm. If only it did something glaringly wrong to pick apart or something amazing to laud, we'd have stronger talking points. However, Safari of Wealth has neither of these things and ended up as a totally middle of the road game in most regards. It's like a movie that had all the foul language and offensive scenes cut out to garner a more marketable PG rating rather than R18, but in doing so, lost its most memorable parts.
