Battleship Strike Slot
Battleship Strike goes to war at sea, giving Habanero a theme that feels somewhat fresher than the fishing, Egyptian and mythology settings that dominate so much of the slot market. The presentation has a distinctly old-school Habanero feel, but battleships, submarines and a large radar display above the reels do a decent job of establishing the naval setting. More importantly, the radar isn't just decoration, forming part of the game's main feature.
The action takes place on a 5x3 grid with 25 fixed paylines, while Wilds are restricted to reels 2 and 4. Radar Strike can activate randomly following a winning base-game spin, selecting one of the ship symbols as its target before firing at positions across the reels. Any ships that are hit become Wilds and the win is recalculated. Successful hits on the target ship also contribute x2 or x3 multipliers, while other ships add 1x, with the values added to the initial 1x multiplier.
Completely destroying the targeted ship awards 10 Free Games, while the regular route into the bonus is through 3, 4 or 5 Scatters for 10, 20 or 50 spins. Radar Strike becomes considerably more prominent here because it activates after every winning spin, with target hits capable of adding up to x15 to the multiplier. Free Games can also be retriggered.

Hunt & Destroy provides something different from the main reel action. Strike symbols activate a 15-position pick feature containing five hidden ships, with 7 attempts available initially. Finding a ship awards its associated prize and grants another attempt. The Large Ship is worth 250x, the two Medium Ships pay 500x each and the two Small Ships are worth 1,500x each. Play continues until all attempts have been used or every ship has been discovered.
A Feature Buy costs 47.28x and guarantees 3 to 5 Scatters, while Super Bet doubles the stake in exchange for more frequent bonus activity and the possibility of receiving as many as 100 Free Games. The standard game runs at 95.64% RTP, although the Feature Buy configuration increases this to 96.65%. Battleship Strike also includes Minor and Grand progressive jackpots, while overall win potential reaches 13,272x.
Battleship Strike isn't particularly modern to look at, but mechanically it's one of Habanero's more entertaining releases. Radar Strike works especially well because it isn't confined to the bonus and can turn an ordinary base-game win into something more interesting, while Hunt & Destroy adds a simple secondary feature that fits the naval theme nicely.
The RTP is somewhat disappointing, and little here feels especially innovative, but there's enough happening across the different features to compensate for the dated presentation. Battleship Strike may look like an older Habanero release, but it plays better than its appearance initially suggests.
