Moving abroad
I am thinking of moving from Denmark because I am sick of the climate and dark winters. I am not sure where yet but I know I want to live in a warm place in Europe, so it comes down to either Spain, Malta or Cyprus for me. My economy is stable and I am a digital nomad, so I can work from home.
What are your experiences with these places? These are my pros and cons…
Spain: big country, lots of things to see, easy to get around, quite affordable housing to invest, great climate, mainland which is good if you want to take the car. Downside is too many immigrant these days and getting worse it seems. Socialist government that does nothing about squatters who can just take your house.
Malta: even better climate I think, great restaurants, close to everything, great place to network but many complain it’s polluted, too many cars, noise, dangerous roads to cycle, no forests, stuck on a small island and investing in living is expensive – not a lot of bang for the buck?
Cyprus: don’t know much about it but it seems to be growing in popularity. An island but significantly bigger than Malta.
Think about Asia. Vietnam, Thailand. It’s not expensive, and the climate is great. No issues with cryptocurrency.
