Gator Hunters 2: Slot Overview
Developer Nolimit City has pulled on its boots and loaded up its revolver to go huntin' lizards again in the online slot Gator Hunters 2, a sequel released about a year after the Gator Hunters slithered out of the swamp. As studios tend to do in sequels, just about everything in the game has been pushed out just that little bit further. Winning potential is up, the mechanics have been upgraded, and the features expanded. At its heart, Gator Hunters 2 remains a scatter-paying swamp fest with spinning revolvers increasing the win multiplier. But there have been noticeable changes as well, adding a different sort of suspense at various points, and enough extra parts to warrant a second trip onto the bayou to see what new tricks the studio has stuffed up its sleeve.
Gator Hunters 2 retains the swampy feel of the original, and the base game backgrounds are quite comparable, though if anything, part two has an even more run-down look to it. Differences appear in the bonus round, where it looks as though a tornado has blown in to smash everything to smithereens. At all times, players get another chance to bathe in the honky tonking, out in the middle of nowhere with the weeds and mosquitoes environment the first one provided. It feels like a place just outside of the law, just touched by civilisation where the inhabitants have a greater freedom to indulge in whatever tickles their fancy, which in this case involves gators, 'nados, and Dale who finds himself 'face-down in the mud with his pants round his knees and a firework up his butt.' Hey, gotta pass the time somehow.

Gator Hunters 2 playing area is a 6x5 grid, using a scatter pays system to create winning combinations. On the grid is one of the first obvious changes: a Fire Zone that is able to upgrade special symbols that land within it. The volatility is extreme, and the RTP tops out at 96% with two lower configurations depending on markets. Players may stake $/€0.10 to $/€100, and can go hog wild with the additional bets, from boosters, buys, to side hustles, and more.
On the paytable, the four high pay symbols depict various characters, while the low pays consist of fireworks, pots, arms, flip flops, and cans. Landing an 8-9 OAK winning combination pays 0.15x to 2.5x the bet, rising to 5x to 60x the bet when a 14+ OAK combination appears on the reels. Wild symbols substitute all regular pay symbols.
Gator Hunters 2: Slot Features

Gator Hunters 2 comes with Scatter Wins, Fire Zones, Eater symbols, Revolver symbols, two free spins modes, xTra Spins, Boosters, buys, and Side Hustles.
Scatter Wins
Gator Hunters 2 uses a scatter pays mechanic where 8 or more matching symbols landing anywhere on the reel area awards a win. Winning symbols are removed, allowing new symbols to drop into their positions and potentially create additional wins.
Fire Zone
The Fire Zone is one of the main new mechanics in Gator Hunters 2. At the start of every spin, a Fire Zone is randomly placed on the reel area. It comes in four sizes: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, or 5x6. When a special symbol lands inside the Fire Zone, it triggers an effect:
- Wild - receives a random x2, x3, or x10 multiplier.
- Eater - upgrades to a Super Eater.
- Scatter - upgrades to a super scatter.
- Revolver - increases its bullet values.
Eater Symbols
An Eater can appear one at a time and activates when there are no winning combinations remaining. The Normal Eater removes a random number of symbols and all instances, causing the resulting spaces to be refilled with new symbols, after which the Eater transforms into a wild. The Super Eater works in the same way as the Normal Eater, but gains a multiplier when it transforms into a Wild. The possible multipliers are x2, x3, and x10.
Revolver Symbols
Revolvers activate once there are no remaining Eater symbols and no further winning combinations. Each Revolver contains a selection of bullet multiplier values and empty positions. When activated, its cylinder spins and randomly selects one of those positions. If a bullet is selected, its multiplier value is added to the total win multiplier. The win multiplier is then applied to the current spin's win. Up to six Revolvers of the same or different types can appear at once. Gator Hunters 2 has 11 different bullet values ranging from Purple x2 up to Golden x3,000. There are three Revolver types:
- Normal Revolver - The standard Revolver spins once, regardless of whether it selects a bullet or an empty position. It can spin again when activated by a Super Fire Revolver.
- Super Revolver - If the Revolver selects a bullet, it spins one additional time.
- Super Fire Revolver - If a bullet is selected, the Super Fire Revolver forces all other Revolvers containing bullets to spin again.
Free Spins
- Gatornado Spins - Landing 3 scatter symbols triggers 7 Gatornado Spins. The total multiplier is kept throughout the free spins feature and is applied to wins on spins where a Revolver lands and selects a bullet. Landing a scatter symbol awards +1 spin, or a super scatter symbol awards +2 Spins. If a Revolver is upgraded during the feature, all of its remaining bullets are awarded before the next spin begins.
- Fire Gatornado Spins - Landing 4 Bonus symbols triggers 9 Fire Gatornado Spins. It retains the mechanics of Gatornado Spins, except the Fire Zone is always either 4x4 or 5x6, and all Revolvers are Super Fire Revolvers.
xTra Spin
At the end of a round, players may be offered the opportunity to buy an additional spin. The xTra Spin keeps the current total multiplier and all Revolvers with any remaining bullets. The total multiplier only applies to wins from spins where a Revolver lands and selects a bullet. The cost of the xTra Spin is calculated according to the current multiplier and remaining Revolvers. It is only offered if the cost is less than or equal to the win. Side Hustle wins alone do not qualify for xTra Spins.
Nolimit Booster
The Bonus Booster costs 3x the base bet to guarantee a scatter symbol on the second reel. The Kill Spin costs 8x the base bet to guarantee a Revolver lands. In addition, all Revolvers landing during the spin are loaded with bullet values of x10 or higher. The Overkill Spin costs 50x the bet to guarantee a Super Revolver, and all Revolvers landing during the spin are either Super Revolvers or Super Fire Revolvers, loaded only with bullet values of x50 or higher. The Massacre Spin can be bought for 1,400x the bet to guarantee a Super Fire Revolver. All Revolvers landing during the spin are Super Fire Revolvers and are loaded with bullet values of x1,000 or higher.
Nolimit Bonus Buys
The bonus buys are 7 Gatornado Spins for 80x, 9 Fire Gatornado Spins for 700s, or lucky draw for 285x. Players may also buy 7 Bullet Juicer Spins for 390x, which has the same features as Gatornado Spins, but all Revolvers are fully loaded.
Side Hustle
Players can wager on specific outcomes occurring during the spin. If the selected outcome happens, a fixed additional payout is awarded on top of any other wins. More than one Side Hustle can be selected at the same time: Kill Captain (+0.8x): 24.3x | Kill Liz (+0.8x): 21.85x | Kill Buddy (+0.8x): 19.05x | Kill Greg (+0.8x): 17.35x | Super Bonus (+1x): 21.1x | Super Eater (+1x): 75.95x | Multiplier 100 (+0.2x): 1,022x | Multiplier 200 (+0.2x): 7,054.6x | Dead Spin (+10x): 11.7x

Gator Hunters 2: Slot Verdict
So we're back in the swamp, and things have gotten even more chaotic. Gator Hunters 2 takes the original's rough-around-the-edges setting and elevates the action with expanded features, more ways to affect a spin, and more ambitious multipliers. There is a fair amount to digest here. Between Eaters, Revolvers, Fire Zones, boosters, Side Hustles and different bonus modes, Gator Hunters 2 can feel busy. The good news is that it isn't hard to track what's going on, and much of it has been brought in from the original, so returning players will be able to slide into Gator Hunters 2 without much fuss. The bones of the game still revolve around getting scatter wins and boosting their values by the win multiplier, yet within that framework Nolimit City has injected a number of new elements.
One of the biggest changes is the new Fire Frame feature. Now it's not just what special symbols land but where on the grid they do so, giving them another layer of potential whenever they land in the right place. An Eater becoming a Super Eater or a Revolver picking up improved bullet values may make an otherwise ordinary spin something worth paying attention to. The Revolver system remains a main attraction, too, especially when more than one of them begin spinning, and the multiplier is climbing. With bullet values reaching a new ceiling height of x3,000, there is plenty of space for things to get out of control. Winning potential has increased, not dramatically, but Gator Hunters 2's new toys are able to produce wins up to 30,000x the bet now.
Admittedly, some of the add-ons may be shunned by certain gamblers, the Side Hustles, for example, but even when avoiding the optional bets, Gator Hunters 2 is the larger of the two games. The Fire Frame aspect puts a different slant on the way the action unfolds and where the attention is drawn, giving special symbols extra importance. In short, Nolimit City has built on an already exciting game to create a bigger, louder return to the bayou, with no shortage of bullets and gators to dodge.
Gator Hunters 2 takes an already exciting formula and turns up the chaos, delivering a bigger, busier sequel with enough new ideas to make the return to the swamp worthwhile.
