During a livestream, Hasan and Trainwreck had a heated argument after the gambling streamer made negative comments about Hasan’s charitable efforts and political views.
xQc, a common friend of Hasan and Trainwreck, moderated the livestream debate to resolve their issues and put an end to their indirect criticism of each other. He had discussed the conflict with both of them privately and publicly. However, things quickly escalated when Hasan criticized Trainwreck’s response to the charity work he had been involved in.
“What you’re doing right now is not genuine criticism. It’s just pocket-watching, and also undermining something that I did.”
Train fired back by stating that the scrutiny on Hasan’s spending was warranted given his advocacy, citing previous criticisms of Hasan’s purchase of a million-dollar property in California despite his self-identification as a socialist.
In response, Hasan criticized Train’s content as “misleading” because it revolves around gambling and also brought up Train’s decision to move to the alternative streaming platform, Kick.
“You’re not selling false hope, because you said gambling is bad? Meanwhile, you sit there and generate almost hundreds of millions of dollars.”
“Ironically, you started off talking about how you hated how much hot tub streamers were awful, and now you’ve got porn on your platform. So maybe, you now recognize the importance of moderation, especially as it pertains to an overall platform.”
Train defended himself by explaining that his content is unique and exclusive, and that he does not earn profits from others’ losses in gambling.
Hasan and Trainwreck have had previous conflicts, with Trainwreck criticizing Hasan’s charity work following the February earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.
Hasan partnered with IShowSpeed and raised more than $1 million in relief funds, $50,000 of which came from his personal donation. However, Trainwreck downplayed the effort as a “small percentage.”
In response, Hasan brought up Trainwreck’s income from gambling streams and suggested that disregarding his charitable work could have negative consequences for those who rely on the donations.
“Look at him undermining 50 grand. Like, I’m sorry I don’t have $700 million from crypto and gambling sponsorships. That’s crazy.”
