Ladderz is an exclusive release from Playtech that feels like one of those games where the developer had a genuinely fun idea, then immediately sabotaged it with a terrible RTP. Before even discussing the mechanics, that 93.84%% return sticks out like a sore thumb in 2026. It's the sort of figure that instantly makes experienced players raise an eyebrow, regardless of how entertaining the feature set might look.
The game itself is built around a board-game concept rather than traditional slot progression. Every cluster win pushes a clown character around a 49-position track sitting above the reels. The further he advances, the more opportunities there are to trigger power-ups, climb ladders, and increase the overall multiplier for the spin. It's a structure that clearly borrows inspiration from certain Pragmatic Play slots, but instead of filling a multiplier meter through cascades, you're essentially trying to guide the clown around a giant game board.
The ladders are the heart of the entire experience. Whenever the clown lands at the bottom of one, he climbs to a higher position on the board. Golden ladders are particularly important because they award additive multipliers ranging from 2x all the way up to 10x. These multipliers stack together and apply to the final payout, creating the potential for surprisingly large wins if enough progression occurs during a single sequence.
