Toro 911: Slot Overview
Bull fighting might be a contentious topic in real life, but when used in slots, it is able to add a blast of colour, action, and excitement to the reels. None more so than developer ELK Studios' Wild Toro range of online slots. The original Wild Toro came out in 2016, and its amusing relationship between bull and man helped it become one of the studio's breakout releases. A cluster of follow-ups ensued over the years, including a sequel and spin-offs, before bringing us to Toro 911, which revisits the original while introducing new elements and a new theme.
Players took to Spanish-inspired streets for the original Wild Toro slot, whereas in Toro 911, they take to the streets of a crooked, seedy city, running low on justice. The mayor of this town is an unsavoury chap going by the name of Diaz, who appears on an election poster in the background as well as on the reels. To use some of the game sheet's words, the problem with Mayor Diaz is that he and his goons run the city 'through fear and greed', causing burning 'chaos and corruption'. Never fear, because lawman Toro is here to clean up the streets. Armed with horns, flashing lights and dark shades, this law-abiding bull is on the job, knocking Diaz and Matadors off the reels, leaving wild symbols in his wake.

Toro 911's play area is a 5x7 grid with 421 ways to win. Connecting paylines occur when matching symbols are connected side by side or by corners, from the leftmost reel.. When choosing a stake, it is possible to wager $/€0.20 to $/€100 per base game spin, and when playing this way or using X-iter bonus buys, the RTP is 94%. Volatility has a 7 out of 10 rating, putting 911 Toro in the higher volatility category.
Pay symbols landing in the game are J-A royals, handcuffs, badges, oranges, and flowers. When landing winning combinations of 5 OAK in size, royals pay 0.3x to 0.45x the bet; premiums are worth 1x to 5x the bet. All wild symbol types are able to substitute for all regular paying symbols. A payline of wilds pays as the highest value symbol.
Toro 911: Slot Features

911 Toro's features are Toro himself, the corrupt mayor Diaz, his Matador goons, Toro Goes Wild, Clean the Streets, and X-iter buys.
Toro, Diaz & Matador
- Toro is a walking wild that lands only on the rightmost reel. As long as Toro is alone (no Matador or Diaz), he walks leftwards, one row at a time, generating a respin for each step he takes, until reaching the leftmost reel and spinning out. Each time Toro charges Matador or Diaz, he leaves a wild symbol behind on every position he passes over. If Toro passes over a wild, it gets converted to an x2 multiplier wild. If it already was a wild multiplier, its value increases by +1.
- Diaz is a sticky wild that remains on the grid until the spin is over or until he is knocked out by Toro. When Diaz lands, he spawns at least one Matador symbol. For as long as Diaz remains on the grid, he increases the multiplier for all Matadors during respins.
- Matador symbols are multiplier wilds with a value of at least x2. When Matador symbols land on the grid, a respin is awarded. During respins, Matador symbols either move to a new position or are disabled. As long as at least one Matador remains in the game, a new respin is awarded.
Toro Goes Wild
If one or more Matadors are in view with Toro, but there is no Diaz, Toro charges the Matadors one at a time, knocking them off the grid. The first time Toro knocks a Matador off, Toro becomes a multiplier wild with the value from the Matador he just knocked. If Toro already has a multiplier and he knocks a Matador off, the new value is added to the current one.
Clean the Streets
If Diaz is on the reels at the same time as Toro, Toro triggers the Clean the Streets feature. At the start of Clean the Streets, Diaz spawns at least one Matador. Toro then charges the Matadors one at a time, knocking them off the grid. After this, Toro charges Diaz, who is either knocked off the grid or escapes to another position. If Diaz escapes, a respin is awarded and the feature continues. If Diaz is knocked out, the feature ends.
X-iter
The X-iter provides the chance to activate several different game modes. Feature Hunt costs 2.5x and provides more than triple the chance of triggering Toro Goes Wild or Clean the Streets, while the Elevated Feature Hunt makes it more than 5 times more likely to do so, costing 5x the bet. The Diaz Drop guarantees a Diaz symbol for 10x, the Feature Spin guarantees Toro Goes Wild for 25x, while the Super Feature Spin costs 100x to guarantee Clean the Streets.

Toro 911: Slot Verdict
Toro, the big, excitable bull, continues to prove his versatility. The guy's been a regular bull, a gladiator (Gladiatoro), dressed up like a Native American (Buffalo Toro), a Japanese warrior (Toro Shogun), and more. The weird, good weird thing is how naturally he slips into the various roles. This is a testament to his strong personality, but also to the way each game often has mechanical links to the others. Generally speaking, links often revolve around the Toro Goes Wild idea, where walking wild Toro knocks Matadors off the reels, respins reels, and leaves lines of wilds in the positions he stamped over. This Toro 911 brings, along with a new character and a resulting adjustment to the gameplay.
Well, he isn't brand new, as Diaz showed up in Gladiatoro, but here, the corrupt mayor justifies his inclusion by adding Matadors to the reels, giving Toro extra targets to charge at in order to spread wilds about the place. This is the real goal of Toro 911. There is no bonus round, no free spins, or anything like that. There are respins, yet the trick is to land as many Matadors and Diaz symbols while Toro is in view, so he can load up wilds and wild multipliers to hopefully knock out a chunky result. The game's winning potential is 10,000x, more than four times Wild Toro's, but even with the Diaz symbol and using X-iter to speed things along, it did feel like a challenge to produce sizable results.
Despite that, Toro 911 was an enjoyable rehash of the past that's been freshened up, given a modernising touch, with new features and a bigger win figure. The visuals are bright, humorous, and full of personality, helping keep players entertained throughout, and it was nice seeing the gang get back together. Overall, Toro 911 successfully balances nostalgia with a dash of innovation, making it a fun instalment for both returning old timers and newcomers alike.
Toro 911 playfully brings together the fun familiarity of Wild Toro with new extras and an action-filled theme.
