3 Arcane Cauldrons Slot (Mini Review)

3 Arcane Cauldrons from Hacksaw partner NowNow Gaming is a 5x3, 17-payline slot built around the now painfully familiar three-pot collect formula. Set inside a dark crypt with three witches tied to separate upgrade cauldrons, the game revolves around collecting bonus symbols to activate up to three modifiers inside a hold-and-win style respin feature. It runs on a default RTP of 96.35%, with lower configurations also available, and caps out at 10,000x the bet. On paper, that sounds competitive. In practice, it's another entry in a format that feels increasingly exhausted.

The base game is straightforward. Standard line wins pay modestly, with low-value symbols barely moving the needle and premium icons topping out at 10x for five of a kind. The raven wild substitutes and pays 15x for a full line, but realistically, the base game exists to feed the cauldrons. Whenever a blue, green, or pink bonus symbol lands, it converts into a coin with a value between 1x and 500x and contributes to triggering the arcane bonus. Every collection also carries a chance to launch the respin feature.

Inside the arcane bonus, you start with three respins, or four if the blue cauldron upgrade is active. Coins lock in place, and each new coin resets the counter. The pink cauldron adds random multipliers of x2, x3, or x5 to coins, while the green cauldron unlocks a second grid, effectively doubling the board. The structure is mechanically clean and easy to follow. The issue is that none of it feels remotely new. Extra respins, multipliers, and grid expansion are standard tools in the three-pot template, and 3 Arcane Cauldrons does little to distinguish itself beyond the theme.

Visually, the game is polished. The witches, glowing cauldrons, and crypt setting are well rendered without being cluttered. It strikes a decent balance between dark fantasy and light horror. The soundtrack is atmospheric but tame, more amusement park haunted house than genuine occult tension. As a presentation package, it works. It just doesn't elevate the gameplay.

The 10,000x maximum win is tied to filling the entire grid during the bonus. That outcome is technically possible, but like most grid-fill caps, it sits firmly in long-shot territory. Without a standout twist in the mechanics, the experience ends up feeling like a repackaged version of dozens of similar releases from the past two years.

Overall, 3 Arcane Cauldrons is visually competent but creatively flat. If you enjoy three-pot hold-and-win games and don't mind cycling through another variation of extra respins, multipliers, and grid doubling, it will feel serviceable. If you were hoping for NowNow Gaming to push the format forward or inject some originality into the structure, this is unlikely to satisfy. It's not broken, but it's undeniably familiar to the point of fatigue.
