While 7x7 Zeus might not have scored as highly as Gates of Olympus in the popularity stakes, it was a solid scatter pays slot with multiplier symbols and more. It was familiar enough to entice a leap from Gates and different enough to justify the switch. 7x7 Zeus must have struck enough of the right notes to justify a reskin, as 7x7 Thor returns to do basically the same things, shooting for a top prize of 10,149x the stake, but with a couple of additional betting choices on top. One is the Power Bet, which is the least flashy of the new add-ons compared to the Super Multiplier Spin buy. Neither the new ante bet nor the new buy are crazy original ideas, but they add something to the 7x7 Zeus formula that certain players may have been craving.

When putting those two things and the different gods aside, the rest of 7x7 Thor is more or less bang on the same as the previous slot. A multiplier system makes an ideal accompaniment to a scatter pays win mechanic in general, and the way multiplier symbols double after a win or a grid expansion creates an exciting DoubleMax effect. The more symbols in view, you'd assume, means a better chance of matching symbols landing somewhere, so the expanding grid idea is a smart inclusion as well. Both Bonus Multiplier and grid expansion are persistent in free spins making them an advantageous part of the game to be in, provided the multiplier symbols are playing their part.

All in all, 7x7 Thor is another solid scatter pays slot with interesting extras bolted on.
