UK RTP to become even lower?
I heard that due to new UK gambling tax laws, providers will start to lower RTP even more. What was 96% before all these stupid regulations soon became 92% but apparently, this is now going to be lowered to around 87%, which is the same as Germany.
I can’t see any point playing on regulated casinos lol.
@jaar86 interesting... can't you play with VPN? Just choose country with higher RTP and no KYC crypto casino. Maybe that will work
I'm definitely not going to go the dodgy crypto route. Luckily my preferred gambling is table games and they can't nerf the RTP on that without changing the entire game, but almost all slots I see, (with the sole exception of Slot Temple so far, but I doubt they'll hold out much longer) are now coming in at 92%. Blecch.
I'm already out at 92%, would definitely not follow it to 88%, even though as a kid I used to play 70% bandits...
Have to search around but there are sites still offering a full catalogue of 96%. You're right though, wouldn't expect this to last long but I would imagine it settles somewhere around 92% everywhere. I will not be playing at 92% though so crypto is the only option now.
When you were a new on gambling you didn't even bother thinking of RTPs and play whatever you want. xD
@blackbird those were the days lol.
I love the idea of forum badges for levelling up/participation on the site. It was one of my favourite part about forums from like 2004-2012, the ability to earn cool badges to display on your forum profile was always a fun concept to me.

Yeah 92% is already rough, feels like you’re just bleeding money slowly at that point. I get why you’d stick to table games—at least the odds are more transparent and harder to mess with. No chance I’d chase slots down to 88% either, that’s basically a money pit.
Contrary to popular belief and what is told to us, every licensor allows for various levels of RTP. Some Licensors allow for RTP to be set per provider as low as 80%. It isn't always a case of bad luck or coincidence when we spin thousands of times and have nothing. Or, when we hit bonus on lucrative games and it pays nothing or a few dollars.

Yeah, the long-term decline in RTP really kills the appeal for me too. Once it drops into the low 90s or below, it just feels like you’re fighting an uphill statistical battle that isn’t worth it, especially compared to table games where the rules are at least transparent.
