Cyberheist City: Slot Overview
Not to be confused with 2023 release Cyber Heist, software provider Pragmatic Play is back on the cybering, heisting horse with the closely titled, yet mechanically unrelated online slot Cyberheist City. This time around, the studio has dropped the katana-bearing protagonist of the previous game to go all neon Miami Nights with a brand new crew. The features have switched as well, though they are far from breaking new ground, now largely relying on wild symbols to increase a total multiplier. Whether this shift offers enough depth to keep players engaged remains to be seen, but feel free to join the heist if you're willing to find out.
For vibe, Pragmatic Play has gone for a synthwave, neon purple, electric blue, hot pink, Miami Nights kind of thing, which shows up on occasion. Setting the scene, palm trees sway in the warm breeze, and an expensive, high-end car is parked on the street, outside a crypto bank of all things. For better or for worse, Cyberheist City looks like a slot Red Tiger might have made a few years ago, a sort of shiny, yet somewhat soulless piece of objet d'art. In saying that, Red Tiger's NFT Megaways caught the zeitgeist at the time like few other crypto-related slots have, by comparison.

Gaming takes place on a 5x3 matrix, creating winning combinations when matching symbols land on three or more adjacent reels from the leftmost side, providing 243 ways to win. Gamblers are able to stake $/€0.25 to $/€250 in this highly volatile game where the top RTP clocks in at 96.5%.
Clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades line the bottom of the symbol hierarchy, while five character symbols make up the more valuable crew. Winning combinations of 5 matching card suits pay 0.32x to 0.48x the bet, or 0.48x to 3x the stake is paid when 5 matching premiums hit. A tumble mechanic makes winning symbols vanish and fills the gaps caused by dropping symbols downward, which may create another win. Tumbles end when there are no more wins.
Cyberheist City: Slot Features

The tools of the heist include wilds that are able to feed a total multiplier, free spins where the total multiplier persists, special bets, and feature buys.
Wilds and the Total Multiplier
Bitcoin-like symbols are wild, and they land on all reels except the leftmost reel. Wilds substitute for all regular paying symbols. In addition, wilds may land with a random multiplier of x2 to x100, which is added to the total multiplier when the wild is part of a win. The total multiplier applies to all wins and resets when tumbles on the current spin end.
Free Spins
Scatters and super scatters may hit on all reels. In the main game, hitting 3, 4, or 5 scatters awards 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. During the round, the total multiplier does not reset until free spins have ended. Players win an additional 5-20 free spins when 2-5 scatters, respectively, land. Any combination of 3 or more scatters and super scatters triggers super free spins. When triggered this way, wild symbols land with a minimum multiplier of x10.
Special Bets & Feature Buys
Cyberheist City has two special bets and two feature buys. Activating the ante bet costs 5x the stake and makes the chance of triggering free spins 10 times higher, while the 10x super spin guarantees at least one multiplier symbol will hit, though free spins cannot trigger in this latter mode. For 100x players can buy the free spins round, or 500x buys super free spins.

Cyberheist City: Slot Verdict
More than happy to be proven wrong here, but Cyberheist City doesn't seem like a slot Pragmatic Play poured its blood, sweat, and tears into. It feels like it was made to a middling standard, polished to a gleam, and booted out the door for gamblers' enjoyment. Will they enjoy it? There is a definite gloss to Cyberheist City's look. It's got a bunch of crime figures such as the dame, the tech guy, the muscle, the getaway driver, and the boss. It would appear their target is a crypto bank, and instead of hacking it, perhaps they plan on physically knocking it over, which is a novel approach. However, Cyberheist City did come across quite generic as well, fancy, flashy, yet lacking the charisma to make it a real loveable rogue.
The same goes for the mechanics. They're fine - essentially a variation of the Gates of Olympus games. Wilds can add to the total multiplier, which in turn increases winning ways payouts. Nothing fancy, but they get the job done. Again, though, there is something lacking about the gameplay that stops Cyberheist City from standing out in an increasingly crowded field, as if they function with a mathematical efficiency that's more like a pre-programmed algorithm than a high-stakes heist. Instead of pushing boundaries, Cyberheist City is content to hang on the reliable crutch of its progressive multiplier. It's a safe move, ensuring a level of excitement without really risking a bust.
But, not every game can be a creative freakshow. So even if the total multiplier, tumbles, and persistent element to free spins mix might be closer to a checklist than inspired design, Cyberheist City has enough Prag polish to make it a fun diversion. If you're a fan of the aesthetic, there's enough gloss here to enjoy, as well as a 5,000x max win, just maybe don't expect this heist to live long in the memory once the neon lights begin to fade.
Cyberheist City is a polished slot that relies on familiar mechanics to carry the action, but plays it a bit too safe to stand out.
