Deadline: Max Chaos Slot

Chaos Clinic makes its debut on Hacksaw Gaming's Open RGS with Deadline: Max Chaos, and subtlety clearly wasn't part of the brief. Corporate life is depicted as a monochrome nightmare of impossible deadlines, broken keyboards, resignation letters and exhausted employees, with dark red details cutting through the grey office. It's unusually bleak material for a slot, but the exaggerated cartoon treatment gives the game a strong identity without turning the whole thing completely miserable.

The 5x4 grid uses 10 paylines, with bets ranging from €0.05 to €50 and medium-high volatility. Default RTP is 96.30%, alongside a lower 94.30% configuration, while wins can reach 15,000x the bet. Wilds are central to practically everything, appearing with multipliers from x1 to x50. Premium Wilds carry x2-x10 and can multiply the values of other Multiplier Wilds on the grid.

Landing at least 3 Wilds triggers a respin with the existing Wilds held in position. Any additional Wild appearing during the respin also sticks and awards another respin, creating the possibility of progressively filling the grid with multiplier values. Three FS Scatters instead award 10 Raise Spins, where the same general idea is extended by making every Wild sticky for the duration of the feature.

Things become more unusual with 4 Scatters and Overtime Spins. The feature begins with 5 lives and introduces a Global Clock Multiplier applied to wins. Each Wild that doesn't stick increases this multiplier by x1. Winning spins cost one life, while additional FS Scatters restore a life, turning the feature into a balancing act between keeping the round alive and increasing its eventual payout strength.

Five Scatters trigger the considerably stranger Max Chaos mode. Wilds are no longer sticky, and the Global Clock Multiplier automatically progresses through x1, x5, x10, x15, x25, x50, x100, x500 and finally x15,000. The catch is that the first win immediately ends the feature. Going nine consecutive spins without winning therefore reaches the final x15,000 stage and awards the maximum payout. BonusHunt FeatureSpins cost 3x the bet, while Raise Spins, Overtime Spins and Max Chaos can be purchased for 100x, 200x and 500x respectively.

Sticky Multiplier Wilds are hardly unexplored territory, particularly for a studio launching through Hacksaw's ecosystem, but Deadline: Max Chaos becomes more interesting as it moves beyond its basic feature. Overtime's lives system adds tension, while Max Chaos cleverly reverses the usual objective by making dead spins desirable and the first actual win the event that ends the chase.

Those stronger ideas sit behind relatively difficult triggers or expensive purchases, so much of the regular experience still revolves around familiar sticky Wild gameplay. Even so, the 15,000x ceiling, solid 96.30% default RTP and genuinely distinctive corporate-horror presentation make this a promising first release from Chaos Clinic.
