No doubt influenced by the theme, Fat Frankies came across like a burger order that's not trying to be anything more than a salty, calorific hit. It puts in little to no effort to make out its wholesome - in a good way, though. Everything, from the graphics, effects, vibe, and features, quite literally have a fast-food feel to them. It's like part of you wants to take the high road to the nearest waist friendly outlet but just can't resist the taste explosion that meat cooked in grease and drenched in mayo or mustard can be counted on to deliver.
Shoot, we almost forgot we were reviewing a game and not a restaurant for a second there. If we're sticking to the food metaphor, and it seems like we can't let it go, then Fat Frankies' simplicity can get a little bland after a while. Surely no one can endlessly shovel French Fries down their trap? Eventually, diminishing gains are sure to kick in, making the thought of just one more fry unbearable. So, it is with Fat Frankies' simple set-up, which is fun for a few spins; maybe to see what all four features can do, then once you've done that, the novelty starts to waver. The winning potential, meanwhile, is alright, maxing out at 6,000x the bet. Presumably, this is possible during 5 Star Spins with the x6 in the bag and the full 20 spins awarded.
