Hello guys! Because I cannot just sit and the passion of creation is in me naturally, I've decided to start my new thread of designs dedicated to the slot games 🙂
This time it will be different, more visally focused thread, where I will be sharing some cool stuff. Regularly - IRregularly . As I feel, as I have something to share, to break down.
Visual ideas, creative process, some insights and more 🙂 I believe the film VFX and slot games can be merged one-in-one to deliver exceptional experience and entertainment.

Game as a product, can be much more expanded and not being just an another game made. Especially when it comes into high profile production, it deserves it all.
From start to finish! So I did a quick 3 steps outline of a game, thinking about it as a whole, to push the simple click'n spin into another level, which noone is doing.
It's funny and sad at the same time, that noone is thinking about, what it deserves as a game, but also as a people behind it 🙂 This will sure give the game another perspecive!
A very interesting concept indeed, games can be much more than just “click and spin” mechanics. Integrating visuals and a creative approach to slot design can greatly enhance the experience of a game. The idea of focusing not only on the game itself, but also on the people behind its creation is also important, as it adds humanity and uniqueness. Very much looking forward to the continuation and inspiring ideas!
Hi @degerardo99, I read all you articles. It is genius and high level work at the same time. Now I have one question (just for curiosity)
For making ready to release one slot, how much human/hours, equipments (servers, other technical devices), license fees need?

As for to answer your question. hmmm... that's very hard for me to say. Not that I dont have any idea. I have an approximate, but there are alot of factors, especially when it comes to quality. Simple game can be done with just a few people I'd say. But a complex one, or high production game, can go all the way to even 20? (counting on what the game might contains as a whole product from Conceptual ideas, to the making it all work, test, do all final art, animation, sound, music, effects, teaser trailer, promo, talking to the partners, affiliate, casinos.. But... I will know more down the road when we start.
Big advantage on my say, is, I can cover several people of in terms of entertainment and mechanics ideas, mockups, art, vfx, trailers, to basically have ready-start mockup product reference, where we see how it all can looks like, behave, feel, doing tweaks, reels spins, timings of events, etc. before the start. And I've never seen someone doing that and push preproduction that far 🙂
Once we have 1st game done, I will share more info. But it is all different in every and each studio.
But here, I want to share one creative tip'n trick. To check the values of colors, I turn it all down into sGray look. Check the black and white levels and grey-scale in between.
So the blacks and whites are not burnt out to be flat range values 0.0.0 or 255.255.255 but there is still room for any adjustments. 🙂 It's not for everyone here, but for whoever is in art, it might be nice and useful thing 🙂

Last week I was listening Ennio Morricone and Wild West theme came into my mind.
I have not done many, only one Wild West themed game mockup, but why don't enhance the theme into Wild Dead West title, right?!
- with some cool DEAD reel wilds (women cowboys) mechanics symbols 😉

I'm surprised that no-one came up with this yet. Mark the day of sharing it 1st: 28/11/2024! It's one of the key features we will come up with in our games 🙂

Since alot of people here are from Sweden, Stockholm, I did those posters of landmarks for a movie called Tomorrow war a few years back.
Amazon, the client, asked me to take the photos from the angle of the actuall view of the landmarks and destroy them, so they can print them out into bus stops Billboards etc in the very same angle. So people will look at the poster destruction while in the back is the exact angle of the intact landmark 🙂 Total it was 12 shots including some of the Finland.
Adding in also Copenhagen as well 😉
