Gates of Heaven 1000 is an exclusive release from Pragmatic Play only available on selected casinos. It follows the now extremely familiar Gates-style formula built around cascading wins, scatter pays, big multipliers, and retrigger-heavy free spins. Winning symbols disappear after every payout, allowing new symbols to drop into place while tumble sequences continue until no additional wins land. Multiplier symbols can appear during both the base game and free spins, carrying values anywhere from x2 up to x1,000. Whenever a winning tumble sequence ends, all visible multiplier values are added together and applied to the total payout from that chain.
The free spins feature is triggered by landing 4 or more scatter symbols, awarding 15 free spins to begin with. During the bonus round, every multiplier collected on a winning spin is permanently added to the total bonus multiplier, remaining active for the rest of the feature. Landing 3 or more additional scatters awards +5 extra spins, giving the multiplier total more opportunities to keep climbing.
The game also includes two optional betting systems. The ante bet increases the chance of triggering free spins naturally by adding more scatter symbols into play, although this disables the bonus buy option entirely. Alternatively, the bonus buy option allows players to purchase direct access to free spins for 100x the current stake.
At this point, it is impossible to look at Gates of Heaven 1000 without immediately comparing it to Gates of Olympus, Gates of Olympus 1000, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter and the endless wave of clones that followed it. The structure, pacing, and feature flow are almost completely identical, to the point where the game often feels less like inspiration and more like another reskin using a slightly different coat of paint.
That said, the formula still works mechanically. Watching giant multipliers stack together during extended tumble chains can still create exciting moments, especially once the persistent bonus multiplier starts reaching ridiculous levels during free spins. The exceptionally high RTP of 98.01% also makes the game stand out compared to many competing high-volatility slots currently sitting far lower.
The problem is simply fatigue. The market has been flooded with Gates-style slots for years now, and Gates of Heaven 1000 does very little to separate itself beyond swapping Olympus aesthetics for a slightly different heavenly mythology theme. Even the lack of a stronger secondary feature or super bonus makes the gameplay feel surprisingly bare considering how oversaturated this genre already is.
As it stands, Gates of Heaven 1000 feels like another competent but creatively exhausted entry in a formula that the industry keeps endlessly recycling. Players who still enjoy chasing massive multipliers in this style of slot will probably know exactly what they are getting here, while everyone else may struggle to find any real reason to care about yet another variation of the same blueprint.
