Getting in might be easier than getting out, since gold is heavy and would be tricky to carry to safety brick by brick through a little mole tunnel. Never mind, that's a problem for later, and as they tend to be in slots, the mole has a cute-ish, cartoon look, though it is a little naughty, on account of all the thieving and whatnot.

Clusterbuster slots are played on larger-than-usual grids, and in Gold Digger, it's a 9x9 grid, though 9 positions in the middle of the grid are taken up by the Clusterbuster itself. Clusterbuster

An inactive 3x3 block of locked tiles sits in the middle of the grid. The outer tiles of the Clusterbuster break when winning clusters are next to them. If all outer tiles are broken on a spin, free spins are awarded.

Prize Diamonds

Prize Diamonds possess a cash prize represented as a multiplier of the stake. Possible multiplier values vary from 0.5x to 25x the stake.

Molehills

On any spin, 2 or more Molehills can appear. If matching symbols land in multiple Molehills, a trail forms between them, turning symbols along the path into matching symbols and helping create wins. Molehills can carry multipliers from x2 to x100, which are collected and added together before being applied to the total win after all cascades.

If a trail passes through symbols in a winning cluster, they become wilds. Trails that pass through Prize Diamonds award their cash values before transforming them. When Prize Diamonds land in multiple Molehills, a special Prize Diamond trail forms, awarding all diamond values and turning winning symbols along the path into cash-prize wilds. Up to 5 Molehills can appear during a spin, including during cascades, and all Molehills disappear before the next spin.

Mole Business

When Molehills are present but matching symbols do not land on them, it is possible the Mole may randomly appear to swap a symbol on a Molehill with another symbol that matches one of the other Molehills, thereby triggering a trail.

Breaking the Clusterbuster awards 10 free spins. Breaking the Clusterbuster during the bonus round awards an extra +5 free spins. Also, in a spin where 3 or fewer tiles of the Clusterbuster are unbroken, the Mole may appear and break them to open the Clusterbuster. Any thoughts that Red Tiger had put its Clusterbuster concept to sleep are reset with the release of Gold Digger Clusterbuster. The studio is back on the big grid layout, providing plenty of space for busting tiles and clustering wins. Gold Digger Clusterbuster doesn't feel like a major comeback story, which is going to transform the Clusterbuster experience from relatively mid-tier to something unmissable, but it successfully integrates the theme with an interesting trail feature, supported by enough prize symbols, multipliers, and free spins to entertain gamblers who enjoy clustering symbols together before launching into chain reactions.

From a gameplay standpoint, the Molehill mechanic is the main draw here, able to turn a nothing spin into something more white-knuckle. Trails converting symbols, creating wilds, triggering multipliers, and collecting Prize Diamonds give the game a decent sense of momentum. This leads to anticipation being built around the feeling that one extra connection or Molehill could suddenly escalate the action. The multiplier system, particularly during free spins where values persist across the entire bonus round, adds to the possibilities and creates the kind of escalating tension cluster-pay fans should be able to enjoy.

All in all, Gold Digger Clusterbuster put on a decent show, nothing amazing, but the Molehill trail idea has merit, and is worth checking out if cluster win slots get you out of bed in the morning.
