Hangovers & Holidays is the sort of slot where the theme does much of the initial heavy lifting. The Character and Trigger reels provide clear targets, while persistent positional multipliers give Free Spins enough progression to distinguish them from the base game. Better still, Burnout, Spread the Love and the Cooler Box can interact rather than feeling like isolated features. Combined with a genuinely distinctive hillbilly-holiday theme, the result has more personality than its relatively conventional foundations might suggest. It can certainly become loud and chaotic, but in this case that feels entirely appropriate.
