Lucky Mischief Slot

Lucky Mischief keeps its main idea simple: land a Summoning Wild and watch the surrounding area turn Wild with it. PG Soft wraps the mechanic in a colourful fantasy-Halloween setting starring a mischievous imp, with plenty of fire, magic and polished animation. It's visually competent in the studio's usual style, although neither the theme nor the presentation feels particularly distinctive.

The game uses a 5x5 grid with 25 fixed paylines, with wins formed from left to right. Bets range from €0.25 to €100, while the standard RTP is an excellent 96.75%. The payout ceiling is considerably less ambitious at 5,000x the bet.

Summoning Wilds provide essentially all of the base game's special action. Whenever one appears, the Summoning Wild itself and the four immediately adjacent positions above, below, left and right are converted into regular Wilds before wins are evaluated. Multiple Summoning Wilds can therefore create substantial Wild areas when positioned favourably, but there isn't much else happening during ordinary spins.

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters awards 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins respectively. Summoning Wilds remain active but gain multipliers ranging from x2 to x100. When several contribute to a win, their values are added together before the resulting multiplier is applied, giving the otherwise straightforward Wild mechanic considerably more power during the bonus.

Retriggers are particularly generous. Landing 2, 3, 4 or 5 Scatters during Free Spins adds another 5, 10, 15 or 25 spins respectively. Combined with Summoning Wild multipliers reaching x100, an extended feature can develop into something far more interesting than the relatively uneventful base game.

Lucky Mischief has one good mechanic rather than a broad collection of features. The spreading Wild effect is visually satisfying and becomes substantially better once multipliers enter the equation, while the 96.75% RTP is a genuine strength. Unfortunately, the 5,000x ceiling feels restrictive considering multipliers can reach x100, and regular spins have very little to offer outside the occasional Summoning Wild.

It's a perfectly functional PG Soft release with a potentially entertaining bonus, but there isn't quite enough depth or originality to make Lucky Mischief particularly memorable.
