Monkey Frenzy 2 Boss is Here takes the brash street-level swagger of the original and builds on it with a more ambitious feature set. Not, like, crazy ambitious, because what's here isn't likely to bedazzle experienced gamblers who have seen their fair share of slots. But, there's more going on, ergo, more to look forward to than the original, which was basically just free spins where wilds expanded. To be fair, wild expansion still plays an important role in Monkey Frenzy 2, as well, but Trusty Gaming has spread the entertainment around so it's not so laser-focused in one place.
For starters, the base game boasts its very own feature, the Gang is Here! It's okay, not exactly sophisticated, but the joys of hitting two high-pay winning lines are literally doubled. What's interesting, though, is that the two highest paying 5 OAK values have been halved in compensation. The wild symbol, too, has been dramatically slashed in value. Although, multipliers form from a variety of angles - Gang is Here!, Gang's Stash, and the free spins multis, which should be able to more than make up for the shortage, as Monkey Frenzy 2 boasts double the winning potential of 10,000x the bet, making it the bigger, juicier banana of the two.
Players who enjoyed the original release, and there must have been enough to warrant a sequel, should be keen to take the bigger part two for a spin, and the game's simplicity has a certain old-school charm some may appreciate. Still, whilst a fuller slot, Monkey Frenzy 2 isn't a particularly great one, and if the original didn't blow you away, this one probably won't either.
