Ninja Ways (Red Tiger Gaming): Review
Having been exclusively available at a few selected casinos it's now time for Ninja Ways to roll out across all Red Tiger Gaming casinos. This well-designed martial arts-themed creation, available on all devices from between 0.20 to 10 Eur per spin, is played using a 6 reels, 4,096 ways to win reel set and comes with loads of extras, including a randomly triggered feature delivering multiplier wilds, mega symbols and matching combinations. There's also an interesting free spin feature that we will look into further below.
It's a rather typical Red Tiger creation in terms of visual appearance, possibly designed by the same team responsible for most of the other productions. With that said, Ninja Ways is an ambitious effort and undoubtedly one of the better-looking slots in the Red Tiger portfolio. Set somewhere in Japan, ripples of pink and blue stretch across the night sky as city lights illuminate the background to form a superbly designed backdrop. The actual play area is enclosed within a temple and comes with a set of elegantly designed symbols with cartoonish-style graphics.
On the reels you'll find Japanese-style A, K, Q, J and 10 royals as well as 4 high-value symbols represented by nunchakus, shurikens, sai melee weapons, and the Ninja Ways logo which is also the most valuable, giving you 8 times the stake for 6 across a payline. The Manga-style Ninja is the wild and will replace all standard symbols bar the scatter.
As is common in many Red Tiger slots, a random feature has been included in the base game. Striking at any time, the Ninja can fly across the screen to deliver one of three modifiers that include:
- Ninja Door: a mystery door is summoned to reveal a giant 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 sized mega symbol.
- Ninja Wilds: the ninja acrobats across the reels, leaving multiplier wilds as high as 8x in his path.
- Ninja Ways: the ninja appears moving across the reels, leaving instances of matching symbols in his path.
To trigger the bonus players have to land at least 5 scatters adjacent from left to right. There's no fixed number of free spins on offer. Instead, the number varies with each scatter symbol awarding a random number of spins. The free spin feature is played as is with the additional benefit of all three modifiers being in play throughout, meaning you can look forward to modifiers enhancing the reels on every single spin.
Ninja Ways (Red Tiger Gaming): Conclusion
Ninja Ways may very well be one of Red Tiger Gaming's best efforts to date. The decision to go with 4 reels and 4,096 win ways, as opposed to limiting the paylines, was the right one, and the modifiers, which appears quite frequently, supports the base game well enough to make it almost as exciting as the actual free spin feature. Furthermore, the gameplay is smooth, there are no annoyances as far as we are concerned and the visual design is outstanding we have to add.
Keep in mind, it's a rather volatile slot with a lot of highs and lows. Catch it at the right time, however, and the rewards can be excellent! Ninja Ways comes with a 10,000x max win potential and it's not just small talk either as we've seen plenty of players hit the actual max wins in the past on Red Tiger slots.
Ninja Ways servers up some solid potential and fun gameplay.
