Piggy Heist 2: Slot Overview
Play'n GO's naughty pack of pigs are up to no good again, robbing from the rich and giving to themselves in the online slot Piggy Heist 2. The original Piggy Heist was a bright, colourful, coin-collecting game with a very optimistic max win, and so is the sequel, though winning potential has floated down to the realms of maybe, possibility. The cartoon capers are back in full force, too, so if flaunting the law with a bunch of curly-tailed grunters is high on your bucket list, why not take a look? We're about to take Piggy Heist 2 for a spin and figure out whether the porcine posse has any sort of big score stashed up its sleeve.
The crime spree begins at the gang's base, the place where the heisters gear up, make plans, and dream about what they're going to do with all their ill-gotten gains. One of Piggy Heist 2's new bits is on show right away, sitting above the gaming grid in the form of the Vault Trail. It's a base game-only sweetener that triggers respins when the getaway vehicle makes it from its starting position to the stack of cash on the right. Hopefully you enjoy the view because rather than shift scenes to a cracked open bank vault, the action stays right where it is in the hideout during the Hold'n Win, though, if you engage in the Vault Gamble, lasers appear to liven the place up and add tension.

Each spin sees a 6x4 gaming area come to life, in a game which takes bets of $/€0.10 to $/€50. The RTP has dropped a bit to 96.22% on the default version, while the volatility remains high, though at 8 out of 10, it's less than Crabb's Gold 2. There are 4,096 ways to win, with regular paying combinations starting from the leftmost reel and paying across adjacent reels.
J-A card ranks form the low pays, and five character symbols are the highs. A 6 OAK royal win awards 1x the bet, or 2x to 5x is awarded when wins are made up of 6 matching premium symbols. Regular wilds, multiplier wilds with a value of x2 or x3, expanding wilds, and expanding wilds with a multiplier of 1x, x2, or x3 are available in the base game at any time. All wilds substitute the regular paying symbols. Multiplier wilds count as multiple wilds equal to the multiplier displayed. If a multiplier wild lands, the rest of the wilds also take on the same multiplier.
Piggy Heist 2: Slot Features

Piggy Heist 2 features Coin collection, a Hold'n Win, the Vault Gamble, and a Vault Trail that unlocks various wilds.
Coin Collect
Coin Pouch symbols can land on the leftmost and rightmost reels and collect Coin symbols. If two Coin Pouches land, Coins are collected twice. Coin symbols can appear with values ranging from 0.5x to 25x the bet. If Coins land without a Coin Pouch, they are collected by the Safe. When a Coin is randomly collected by the Safe, it can trigger the Hold'n Win feature.
Hold'N Win
During the Hold'n Win, Coins land with their backs showing. Three spins are initially awarded, and when new Coins land and stick, the spin count is reset. When the feature is finished, the Coins flip to reveal a value of 1x to 30x.
Vault Gamble
At the end of the Hold'n Win, players can gamble their winnings in the Vault Gamble. If chosen, one spin occurs where Double Coins and Police Badges can land. If the majority are Double Coins, the Hold'n Win winnings are doubled. If the majority are Police Badges, the winnings are wiped to 0. The gamble can be played up to 4 times in succession.
Vault Trail
Collecting Vault Door symbols fills the Vault Trail. Once the trail is completed, players are awarded a Wild Respin featuring one of these wilds:
- Expanding Chobby Wild and Multiplier Expanding Chobby Wild - x1, x2 or x3 multiplier, with 3 respins.
- Expanding Walking Wild - Moves left with respins until it leaves the reels or reaches a maximum of 10 respins. Multiplier Expanding Walking Wilds carry an x1, x2 or x3 value.
- Mega 2x2 Wild - A Wild covering 4 positions.
The Vault Trail resets after the Wild Respin is completed, and progress is linked to the bet.
GO Ultra
When the GO Ultra is in use, Coin collections are doubled as Coin Pouches collect all Coin values twice. During the Hold'n Spin, all winnings are also doubled. The stake is increased by 50% when using the GO Ultra.

Piggy Heist 2: Slot Verdict
Just as Piggy Heist functioned as a reskin of Crabby's Gold, so does its sequel Piggy Heist 2 borrow pretty much everything beneath the skin from Crabby's Gold 2. A weird symbiotic relationship between the studio's crab and pig-themed slot lines has formed here. It's as if Play'n GO's mathematicians and features people came up with the guts of the game, but the skin crew agonised over two different themes. Instead of canning one idea, the mechanics found their way into both crab and pig themes, and voila, players get twice as many options. Will they pick 'em? No doubt some gamblers may find the bright piggy crime spree fronted coin action tempting, but none of the Crabby or Piggy games so far have been standouts.
Neither is Piggy Heist 2, though it has differences with the original. One of the biggest additions is the Vault Trail, which gives the base game a sense of progression. Collecting five Vault Door symbols unlocks a Wild Respin, with various wilds bringing expanding, walking, multiplier, or oversized abilities into play. That feature might actually turn out to be the most theoretically lucrative part of the game, too, since the bonus round hold 'n' win has no multipliers, no collectors, and the most valuable coin is worth a modest 30x. This means that even hammering on the Vault Gamble with the GO Ultra activated will not achieve the game's 30,000x max win. However, when checking the fine print, the Vault Gamble can only be played up to a limit of 250x the base bet anyway.
That leaves Piggy Heist 2 in an odd position. There is plenty going on, and the Vault Trail gives the base game something extra to chase, but the overall experience doesn't live up to the scale suggested by its 30,000x headline figure. It very well might go all the way, and that would no doubt be quite a sight. Till then, though, players hoping for a major upgrade over the original or a breakaway from its crabby cousin may find this particular heist leaves more stash in the vault than hoped for.
Piggy Heist 2 delivers a colourful porky crime spree that plays it safe rather than introducing anything new.
