One look at Donk is enough to convince most mild-mannered, law-abiding folk he's a person to avoid at all costs. A reference in the docs to the film Falling Down means Donk may have been inspired by D-Fens, another character who spiralled into a violent journey, getting progressively triggered by elements of modern life he couldn't square away in his fragile mind. Instead of open-mindedly trying to embrace change and try new things, Donk would rather just break them, as if smashing everything is going to rewind the clock to a time that probably wasn't as great as he remembers it to be anyway. This Donk does on a booze-fuelled rampage through pub, toilets, and out onto the street, increasingly dribbling and punching as he gets progressively more berserk.

Pissed is a scatter pays slot which forms winning combinations when 8 or more matching symbols (5 or more Donks) land on any of the 6x6 grid's positions. Winning symbols vanish, and the empty gaps they make are filled by symbols cascading down into them, repeating like this till no new win appears. • Ultra Smash - Special attack patterns climb the multiplier ladder further. Rarer.
• Angry Crush - Donks fall to the bottom of the grid, crushing symbols in their way, accumulating a multiplier with each crush. There is a 10% chance the grid rotates 90 or 180 degrees for more crushing potential.

All multipliers formed by smashes are added to make a Donk Multiplier, which is applied to the Donk symbol's win at the end of the spin.

Donk crashes a party in a rare event that generates a Donk-loaded board, boosting the chances of triggering features.

Bonus Round & Super Bonus Round

Landing 3 scatters in the main game triggers 6 free spins in the bonus round. During the bonus, Donk symbols land more often, and features trigger at a higher rate (50%). Donk Smash clears low-pay symbols as in the base game. Hitting 4 scatters awards 7 free spins in the super bonus. Pissed: Slot Verdict

Pissed struts about in a loud, aggressive, chaotic manner, built around a central character whose entire personality is based on destroying everything he doesn't like. Interestingly enough, self-destruction extends to himself, leading to the assumption that Donk doesn't actually like himself very much, either. Donk's angry man routine might not appeal to everyone, even though humour and social commentary lie at its very heart, yet Shady Lady has created a memorable character who gives the game a distinct identity in a market filled with interchangeable themes. The humour might be dark and exaggerated, but it slots in well with the game's main mechanic, namely smash everything, build multiplier momentum, and hope the resulting carnage creates a decent payout.

On the confrontational side, Pissed came across a very volatile game that took buying the gold bonus to see what it was really capable of doing. In its finest moments, the game is a real hoot, smashing everything before multiplying the remains, which hopefully includes a sizeable stack of Donk symbols on the grid. Outside of landing a large amount of Donks on the initial spin, significant levels of synergy are required to really get the best out of Pissed. Shady Lady is appreciably up front about the odds of qualifying Donk symbols triggering a feature in the various phases of play, cementing how much better being in super free spins is than the base game. At the same time, while randomness no doubt runs throughout the game, there was a cynical feeling that much of the best stuff was only realistically available from feature buys. Not claiming this is actually the case by any means since there is nothing saying that pressing a vanilla base game spin won't send Pissed on a rampage, just thinking out loud.

Overall, Pissed is an inventive and entertaining slot which succeeds in part because it fully embraces its bizarre concept. On one hand, you've got a slot acting as a mirror to society, showing that both sides can have a point, even if violence is a lame way of expressing it. On the other hand, Pissed is a wild ride, with a 20,000x max win, and intense gameplay when it's firing, one that's just as happy swinging punches at unlucky gamblers as it is at any phone addicted hipster sucking back a no alcohol IPA while nibbling organic nuts.
