Roshtein Back on Twitch Cross-Promoting Kick.com

After a brief hiatus, slot streamer Roshtein has returned to Twitch, much to the excitement of his fans and to the great disappointment of those less impressed with fake money streaming. However, his return comes with a twist, as he has announced that he will be streaming on both Kick.com and Twitch simultaneously. For those unfamiliar with Kick.com, it is a streaming platform launched by Stake.com as a response to Twitch’s recent policy update, which took aim to ban Stake and a group of other crypto casinos from the platform.

No longer being allowed to benefit from his Stake.com sponsored streams on Twitch due to the ban, Roshtein went on to fire up a new crypto casino pretty much identical to Stake whilst also actively and persistently cross-promoting Kick.com to his Twitch viewers.

Some of the strategies used during the stream included muting his mic while interacting with his Kick viewers and exaggerating his body language and mannerisms in an apparent attempt to make his Twitch viewers curious enough to switch over to Kick. While these tactics could be seen as a way to circumvent Twitch’s new prohibited gambling content policy, they could also be seen as manipulative and not in line with what Twitch had in mind when launching the new directives.

In spite of the policy update, the streamer in question remains active on Twitch, still streaming on an offshore crypto casino using what could be argued to be questionable marketing strategies. At the beginning of his slot session, Roshtein briefly mentioned bets would be kept “low” on Twitch in order to keep things more responsible and compliant with the platform while at the same time boasting a $200,000 starting balance. In this case, “low” meant doing $100 bets per spin.

Meanwhile, sponsored Stake streamer Trainwreckstv was simultaneously seen doing $1000 bets on Play’n GO‘s Rise of Merlin and other slots whilst streaming on Kick with a $350k balance.

In their press release published last year, Twitch warned that further measures could be taken and new bans imposed should content creators not abide by the rules. It remains to be seen how long the Stake streamers will be able to push the limits and whether or not Twitch will take action against them. Following the implementation of the ban, many viewers and legit streamers noted that the situation on the platform had improved. Will this notion change with the comeback of Roshtein? It remains to be seen.
