Conclusion
As always when it comes to Yggdrasil the visuals are stunning. Lucha Maniacs is another huge leap forward for Yggdrasil in that aspect and their games just keep getting more and more powerful production wise.
The mechanics however don't feel as fresh and reminds us of the old classic Yggdrasil slot Golden Fish Tank. This is actually not a bad thing as it is still one of their best games to date. Just like on Golden Fish Tank there is an extra bonus pick button, and in the bonus itself players get different features including wrestler wilds (as opposed to fish wilds) and stacked wilds as well. But there are some new features which makes Lucha Maniacs stand on it's own two feet.
Something we find a tiny bit annoying are the many slow spins that occur as soon as you land one bonus symbol, something that happens quite frequently as you only need two of them to get into the Poster Bonus Game. After a while it does get a bit repetative and we found ourselves stop spinning many of the teases. All in all we like the game and we feel convinced it will be embraced by both casual players as well as hardcore gamers.
