Stallion Kingdom: Slot Overview

Why is it that when a Games Global studio's slot makes its way onto the review to-do list, they sometimes elicit a little shiver of dread? Like, a little bit of sick comes up in the throat, which has to be pushed back down again. One reason is because of games like this one right here. Designed by Just For The Win, Stallion Kingdom is yet another online slot using expanding wilds, a pick 'n click bonus, local jackpots, indefinite free spins with a rising multiplier, and super free spins as found in Trojan Kingdom, Amazon Kingdom and the rest - rinse and repeat. It also looks to be a straight reskin of Rabbit Fields, aka Stellar 7s, aka Golden Fields. If that hasn't gotten your gorge rising, shall we take a closer look?

Stallion Kingdom is a horsey game set somewhere on the planet that looks like the American prairies with a river, grasslands, and rocky hills making up the background. The soundtrack gives the game a Native American touch and a slightly mystical feel, accentuated by the glowing Thunderbird icon above the list of prizes, topped by the 5,000x Mega. Play occurs on a 5-reel, 4-row matrix, and above each reel is what's called a Wild Holder, which is linked in the base game to a spreading wild feature.

Clicking the coins icon brings up a message alerting players to the fact that feature progression is saved per bet; then, the stakes go from 20 c to $/€50 per spin. Stallion Kingdom is a highly volatile slot available in a number of different RTP configurations. If you want the highest, that would be the 96.13% model, where the hit rate is 29.84%.

Wins are calculated with the help of 30 paylines, awarding wins left to right from the leftmost reel. Ten to Ace card ranks are Stallion Kingdom's low pays, while its highs are an owl, a fox, a cougar, and an eagle. Landing a line of 5 matching low pays awards 1-2 times the bet or 2.5-10 times the bet when hitting 5 matching high pays. Wild Stallion symbols substitute for all of the regularly paying symbols.

Stallion Kingdom: Slot Features

Stallion Kingdom's got the same old features here, going by the names of the Coin symbol collection, Wild Herd, Thunderbird Wins, free spins, and super free spins.

Coin Symbols Collection & Wild Herd Feature

Coin symbols appear only in the base game. Each reel has a Wild Holder above it, and when Coins land, they are added to the respective Wild Holder. Collecting 3 Coins in a Wild Holder is required to activate a Wild Herd feature on the reel. When the Wild Herd is activated, on the next spin, a Wild Herd symbol is placed on the top position of the triggering reel. On each following spin, the Wild Herd symbol expands down one position on the reel. When the Wild Herd reaches the bottom position, the feature ends, and the Wild Herd symbol is removed on the following spin.

Thunderbird Wins Game

Collecting 1 or more Thunder Tokens on the screen provides a random chance of triggering the Thunderbird Wins Game. Thunder Tokens appear only on fox, owl, and A symbols in the base game on any reel. When activated, clicking items reveals a prize symbol. Revealing 3 of the same prize symbol awards the associated cash prize. This could be the 15x Mini, 40x Minor, 200x Major, or the 5,000x Mega.

Free Spins

Hitting 3 scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers an indefinite number of free spins, which start with a win multiplier of x1. After each spin, the multiplier increases by +1. At the start of the round, the Wild Herd feature is active on reel 3 from the top reel position. Landing a Wild Herd symbol on any reel triggers the Wild Herd feature, starting from the landing position. Free spins end when no more Wild Herd symbols are in view. Wild Herd symbols cannot land on an active Wild Herd reel.

Super Free Spins

When 2 scatters land in the base game, they add 1 point to the super free spins meter. Collecting 20 points means the next time free spins trigger; players get super free spins instead. For super free spins, the multiplier starts at x5, increasing by +1 after every spin. At the start of super free spins, the Wild Herd feature is active on reels 2 and 4 from the top position.

Stallion Kingdom: Slot Verdict

This is getting tedious now. Stallion Kingdom might be related to Trojan Kingdom or Amazon Kingdom, but it's also a direct reskin of games like Golden Fields and Rabbit Fields. The only minor surprise about the game is the studio didn't call it Stallion Fields. Literally, that was it. The rest of Stallion Kingdom, outside the skin, came across exactly the same as its rabbit and sunflower cousin slots. It is unclear why we needed yet another one of these sorts of games. The theme wasn't particularly interesting, either, since there are plenty of these American wilderness slots floating around already, whether horse-focused or otherwise.

And that's about it. The max win is 5,000x the bet, achievable if the picking goes excellently in the Thunderbird Wins Game, though it's unclear if the multiplier/Wild Herd combo in free spins or super free spins are up to the task. Stallion Kingdom wasn't a slot that provoked much thinking beyond the surface, and it wasn't a slot which provoked many feel-good moments either. After seeing riffs on the same gameplay, or just the exact same gameplay on numerous occasions before made playing Stallion Kingdom feel like a chore. If Stallion Kingdom was the last word in these sorts of slots, it wouldn't be dabbing tears away with tissues moment, but something tells us this isn't the last time Just For The Win is going to wheel these innards out again and coat them in another skin.

Poor

Stallion Kingdom is a low-interest, throwaway Just For The Win reskin.
