Super Tiki Strike is guilty of hiding explosive potential inside a deceptively simple package. At first glance, the 3x3 grid and fruit-heavy paytable suggest a casual, classic slot experience. However, the gameplay is not as simplistic as first suspected, and whilst not a complicated slot, it has a few intricacies to wrap your head around. Not major Gordian knots, but there is more here than may first meet the eye. And while there is traditional pay symbol action, it is more a pursuit of Money symbols, wild multipliers (three in a line equal the Grand Jackpot), and respins.
That's about it, but the respins round could actually get quite exciting, despite the diminished grid space. What made it so was the way Collect symbols are sticky on the middle reel, and the ability of wilds and wild multipliers to increase the multipliers on individual positions on the two outer reels. For instance, a sizable multiplier boosting Money symbol values getting collected by three sticky Collector symbols could be surprisingly potent. Solid results did occur during testing, but nowhere, nowhere near the 50,000x max win mark. Getting anywhere near that amount would be absolutely ludicrous in any game, let alone a 3-reel one like this.
Interestingly, Super Tiki Strike feels like it goes head-to-head with Push Gaming's Bait 'N' Bank, which was reviewed around the same time. Both are played on the same-sized grid, while sharing certain bonus round similarities. When it comes to winning potential and volatility, the two slots are polar opposites, though, where Super Tiki Strike caters to players who like the classic setup but want a game with surprisingly sharp edges to it.
