Trainwrecks slams Kick for not taking action against viewbotted gambling streams

Streamer Tyler Niknam, better known as “Trainwrecks,” has expressed his disapproval of the Kick platform for enabling streamers to artificially boost their views using bots, particularly in the context of gambling streams.

The popular Twitch streamer who now endorses Kick.com, has a background in streaming gambling content and is considered one of the pioneers in this area. He also grew to become one of the biggest casino streamers on the platform thanks to his sponsorship with crypto casino Stake.

As a result of streamers like Trainwrecks, other significant names on Twitch called for action against gambling streams, leading to Twitch’s decision to ban them, albeit only to some extent. Following this, Trainwrecks decided to switch to Kick, a competitor to Twitch that is owned by Stake.

Despite his significant support for the platform, including playing a role in creating new payment plans to support creators, not everything on Kick is positive. Trainwrecks has criticized recent gambling streams on the platform, particularly those that use botting services to inflate their views.

Though many would disagree given Stake’s reputation for dealing with shady marketing practices, Trainwrecks like to think of himself as transparent when it comes to gambling streams, as he always includes a notice at the top corner of his streams urging people not to gamble. He believes in being truthful with his viewers, and has even mentioned in a now-deleted Twitch stream that he is working to address Kick’s ongoing viewbotting issues, despite facing criticism for speaking out about it.

During the stream, he talked about a gambling stream on Kick that he shared with his viewers and said, “Realistically, I’m going to keep it a buck. If this dude viewbotted 2-3 thousand viewers, I might just say ‘f*** it I don’t give a f***’.” However, he expressed his concern about streamers who artificially inflate their views by 15-20 thousand viewers a day to promote predatory gambling practices, and vowed to work to find a solution to this problem as soon as possible.

Given that Trainwrecks is one of the largest endorsers of Kick, he is particularly worried about how this issue reflects on him. The details of how the platform plans to tackle and resolve the issue are still unclear.
