Valhalluck: Slot Verdict

Imagine a Viking longship full of disco-loving berserkers crash-landing in Vegas, and you've got a fair idea of what to expect when Valhalluck lights up the screen. This is a game that screams, "Look at me, I'm fabulous", and couldn't care less whether it's been built off the bones of another slot or not. But, once the sheen has dulled, what's left is the same mediocre gameplay that plagued Legion Gold Unleashed. Respins are pretty basic, though the Collect symbol and Golden Prize are there to add some excitement. Otherwise, it's a case of just land Gold Coins and get them at the end. Mega Free Spins are entertaining in an old-school Wolf Gold kind of way. In its totality, this is stuff which is hard to get overly excited about. Legion Gold Unleashed struggled to do so, and so did Valhalluck. Winning potential is mediocre, too, at 3,000x the stake, though the 1 in 53 million probability of it occurring is good, for a Play'n GO piece that is.

And that was Valhalluck. It's a game which is audiovisually quite overpowering, even if what it deals in is classic slot stuff dipped in Norse mythology. The thematic fusion has been pulled off quite well - this might actually be the game's most attractive quality, and may appeal to fans of classic slots, Vikings, and disco. However, peel away the glittering outer layers and what's left isn't outright broken, but a rather average experience that relies on spectacle rather than substance.
