Wild Toro 3: Slot Overview
Toro the bull, one of the wildest beasts in ELK Studios' stable, is back, snorting steam through his nostrils, horns sharp, on the rampage through the online slot Wild Toro 3. Was he ever really gone, though? Toro and the Matador first butted horns in 2016, and in the decade since then, they've appeared in a slew of releases, including Wild Toro 2, Book of Toro, Gladiatoro, and many more. This time, Toro has with him Los Toritos, his nephews, prepping the next generation to carry on a legacy of chasing Matadors across the grid, leaving goodies in their wake.
Toro has been to Egypt, Asgard, and beyond, but for Wild Toro 3, we've returned to the home of bull fighting, sunny Spain, for part three in the main trilogy. It's what you'd expect, or dream about, from this part of the world. Sunshine, warm architecture nestled between plant life, and a sultry soundtrack. Wild Toro 3 doesn't go overboard with the background visuals, though everything has a pleasant look or sound to it, and there is a clear line running through this one back through part two before winding up at the original.

Spins in normal mode start on a 5x4 grid with 178 connected lines, though the grid can be expanded in a number of ways as covered below. Volatility is interesting as players can switch it from medium (day) to high (night), depending on taste, though the RTP is the same for both, maxing at 96%. Clicking the coins button is where users may choose a stake from as low as $/€0.20 to as high as $/€100.
Pay symbols in Wild Toro 3 are bronze, silver, and gold coins, grapes, cacti, oranges, and red roses. A 5 OAK winning combination of these symbols pays 0.3x to 5x the stake. Various wild symbols may appear on the reels, and all of them are able to substitute for the regular paying symbols. A payline of only wilds pays as the highest value symbol.
Wild Toro 3: Slot Features

Wild Toro 3 has loads of features, from its volatility switch, Midnight Bullfights, the Toro Wild, Toritos, Matadors, Toro Goes Loco, the Golden Rose Bonus, and X-iter feature buys.
Volatility & The Midnight Bullfight
Pressing the sun and moon button toggles between Night (high) and Day (normal) volatility. The Midnight Bullfight feature can only trigger in the high volatility mode on any initial spin. During Midnight Bullfight, only regular symbols and wilds are on the reels. Tall multiplier wild muletas may expand to cover up to 5 reels.
Toro Wild
Toro is a walking wild that may only land on the rightmost reel. Toro moves left, generating a respin and increasing his initial x1 multiplier by +1 for each step taken until spinning off the leftmost reel. Only one Toro may be in view at once.
Toritos
The Toritos are sticky wilds that may land on the three middle reels. When a Torito lands, it expands the height of the grid by +1 row and triggers a respin. One respin is granted no matter how many Toritos landed, and only if a walking wild is not present. The maximum size is 7 rows high, where there are 421 connecting paylines. When present with Toro, the Toritos behave like so:
- Blue Torito: Scatters wilds on the reels.
- Green Torito: Doubles Toro's multiplier.
- Red Torito: Adds Toro's multiplier to itself.
Matadors & Toro Goes Loco
There are also three Matador symbols. Matadors are walking wilds that may land on the three middle reels. They move leftwards, triggering a respin for each step taken, until spinning off the leftmost reel. The Toro Goes Loco feature triggers when one or more Matadors are present with a Toro. Toro charges all Matadors, knocking them off the reels and leaving wild symbols behind.
- Brave Matador: Drops a muleta before Toro charges, covering the reel below it with a tall multiplier wild symbol.
- Coward Matador: Flees to the edge of the grid before Toro charges, extending the length of the charge.
- Regular Matador: Stays in place till Toro knocks him off the grid.
Golden Rose Bonus
In the base game, one Golden Rose may be in view at a time, and it substitutes for the red rose pay symbol. Toro collects a Golden Rose when they are both in view in the base game, which triggers the Golden Rose Bonus. For the feature, Toro appears as an ever-present 2x2 symbol on a 5x7-sized grid, where only Golden Roses, Toritos, regular Matadors, and dud symbols may drop in. At the start of the bonus, Toro has 3 lives. One life is consumed for each spin, but landing at least one Matador replenishes Toro's lives to 3. Golden Roses land during the round with a displayed value, and Toritos act in this order:
- Blue Torito: Scatters extra Golden Roses on empty spaces and/or increases the values of a number of existing Golden Roses before leaving the grid.
- Green Torito: Doubles the values of a number of Golden Roses, then leaves the grid.
- Red Torito: Gets replaced by a Golden Rose with the accumulated value of all already existing Golden Roses.
Lastly, Toro moves to knock out any Matadors, collecting Golden Roses along his path, adding their values to Toro's win counter. Each knocked out Matador adds one token to a meter. Collecting 3 tokens doubles the global multiplier starting at x1. The meter is then reset. When all Matadors are knocked out, the value of Toro's win counter is multiplied by the global multiplier. Toro's win counter gets reset for the next spin. The round ends when Toro is out of lives. The Golden Rose Bonus can be triggered more than once in a game round. When this happens, each bonus after the first starts with the previous round's final global multiplier.
X-iter
At the X-iter, players may activate the Bonus Hunt or the Mega Hunt at 2.5x or 5x the stake, to make triggering the Golden Rose Bonus 3 or 6 times higher, respectively. At 25x, the Toro Goes Loco can be guaranteed, while the Golden Rose Bonus can be triggered for 100x the stake. For 250x, players can buy the (Day) Super Bonus, where the bonus starts with an active multiplier or the (Night) Midnight Bullfight feature for 250x the bet.

Wild Toro 3: Slot Verdict
ELK Studios has a talent for evolving its franchises to prevent them from growing stale, and Wild Toro is a prime example. When including all of the various offshoots, such as those mentioned above, as well as the likes of Toro Shogun and Buffalo Toro (plus others), it's one of the studio's most fecund lines. While hammering away at the same idea brings with it the danger of sequel fatigue, Toro has largely avoided this fate on account of ELK Studios' ability to continually inject freshness, and Wild Toro 3 is a genuine evolution rather than a cheap and nasty paint job. Bringing the range back to its Spanish roots stokes the nostalgia, while the three Toritos point the way forward into the future.
Old and new is present throughout the entire game, as the series has built on preceding releases. Wild Toro had a static grid while relying mostly on walking wilds and respins. Part two introduced a dynamism to the grid along with multipliers and new Matadors, though neither had a bonus game. Wild Toro 3 is a hybrid of everything, sticking with the core Toro experience, and building on it with more Matadors, baby Toros, and even, gasp, a separate bonus game. Even there, the Golden Rose Bonus incorporates classic Toro charging to collect dough rather than relying on regular hold 'n' win or money symbol collection action. The game even caters for gamblers who prefer the medium volatility of the past, as well as those who prefer a higher setting. Heck, there's even a Wild Desire type feature for an intense, potentially all-wild reels chase.
Winning potential has been stretched as well, now clocking in at 25,000x the stake. One possible concern is that Wild Toro 3 will be too complex for fans who preferred the original game's simplicity, but the gambling scene has moved on since 2016, so this doesn't feel like it's going to be a major issue. On the contrary, Wild Toro 3 makes for an excellent threequel, one which retains the charm of the past, while adding a whole list of entertaining new extras that positively enhance the experience.
Wild Toro 3 retains the charm of the past while adding exciting new extras to make it one of the fullest, most rounded Toro experiences to date.
