Club Cabana: Slot Overview
Hacksaw Gaming partner Kitsune Studios debuted with the literary-infused online slot The Library, starring the likes of Edgar Allan Poe and Dante Alighieri, and have since followed up with a slot of a very different kind. Titled Club Cabana, the developer has dubbed it the 'ultimate 80s pool party' set in Ibiza, no less, giving it a very different vibe to the studio's debut. Several months may have passed between releases, but it appears the provider has not used that time to cook up original gameplay. Instead, the makers of Club Cabana have settled on features 'inspired' from elsewhere, such as Lootlines, money symbol collection, and free spins that level up when collector symbols themselves are collected, creating a sort of Big Bass Bonanza on holiday in the Balearic Islands type deal.
Play Club Cabana on a mobile, and it looks pretty bare, with sky, trees, sea and a hint of pool about all there is for the eyes to take in. On larger screens, a laptop or desktop, for instance, Club Cabana opens up, and the full poolside show can be experienced. The game has an 80s feel to it, with women in bikinis and hints of old SG Digital, meaning it's not a slot to suit all tastes. But, if you're looking for an Ibizan-inspired taste of the past and are in the mood to get virtually wild and crazy poolside, then Club Cabana's charms, such as they are, might be just the fuel your imagination requires.

A 5x4, 20-payline gaming area is where the partying takes place. Players can stake 10 c to $/€100 while having access to a handful of feature buys. The math model volatility is high, and players can theoretically expect an RTP at the top level of 96.31% and a hit rate of around 1 in 3 (30.51%).
The pay symbols are five fruit low pays and four cocktail highs. Low value 5 OAK winning combinations are worth 2x the bet, while their higher paying counterparts award 5 to 7.5 times the bet. The Singer symbol is wild so it substitutes any of the regular paying symbols. It can also collect Partygoer cash values but only during bonus rounds. A winning line of 5 wilds pays 10x.
Club Cabana: Slot Features

On the feature menu at Club Cabana are Lootlines, Partygoer money symbol collection, a Happy Hour bonus, The Party Never Ends bonus, and feature buys.
Lootlines
Partygoer symbols are Money symbols that display cash values of 0.5x to 100x. If 3 or more Partygoer symbols land in a winning payline combination (excluding wilds), their values are awarded.
Headline Singer
Each landed Singer Wild symbol during bonus rounds collects each Partygoer symbol value. The Singer Wild can land with a multiplier that affects all of the Partygoers it collects. Possible multipliers are x1, x2, x3, or x10. Multipliers do not apply to line wins.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour is triggered by landing 3 FS scatters in the base game, awarding 10 free spins. Each Singer Wild that lands is collected. After 4 Singer Wilds have landed, a new level is achieved, triggering +10 free spins and a higher multiplier on the Singer Wild. The multiplier value on the Singer Wild at levels 1, 2, 3, or 4 is x1, x2, x3, or x10, respectively. Before free spins start, players may gamble to start the round at a higher level. Losing the gamble forfeits the entire bonus, and upon reaching level 4, free spins will automatically start.
The Party Never Ends
The Party Never Ends bonus triggers when 4 FS scatters land in the base game to award 10 free spins. The progress in this bonus starts at the maximum level, guaranteeing at least one Singer Wild on each spin with an x10 multiplier. This feature cannot be retriggered.
Feature Buys
Club Cabana has four features players can buy. They are BonusHunt FeatureSpins at 3x the bet, which makes each spin 5 times more likely to trigger a bonus game. Headline Singer FeatureSpins at 50x the bet, which guarantees each spin lands a Singer Wild with a multiplier of x1 to x10. Then there is Happy Hour for 65x, or The Party Never Ends at 200x.

Club Cabana: Slot Verdict
Funny, the previous Kitsune Studios release was set in a library and featured various literary heroes, while the second slot shifts the action to Ibiza, strips down to a bikini and is all about never-ending partying. From the studio's debut to their second release, Kitsune Studios displays two opposing sides of its personality. In terms of gameplay and mechanics, however, it has yet to display enormous powers of original creative thinking. The previous slot was built around Hacksaw Gaming's Stackways concept, while Club Cabana is obviously a throwback to Reel Kingdom and Pragmatic Play's behemoth Big Bass Bonanza.
In fact, bringing things closer to home, Club Cabana is a sort of watered-down version of Marlin Masters, Hacksaw Gaming's answer to BBB, with the Lootlines and the multiplier bearing collector symbols, though winning potential here is greater at 10,000x the bet. In addition, Club Cabana titillates by using scantily clad pixelated 'babes' and a cool-as-ice singer dude instead of fish. In an industry drowning in angling slots, this approach does make a change, and it might be fun if you're in a partying in the 1980s frame of mind, but at the end of the day, Club Cabana came across as a mediocre second effort from Kitsune Studios that failed to impress.
To get a hit of the popular, ever-present Big Bass Bonanza gaming mechanics but with party people instead of fish, you can see how Club Cabana might fulfil a certain want. Otherwise, it's a fairly mid second release from Kitsune Studios that lacks much original thought, relying instead on other people's ideas and bikinis to provide the entertainment.
In Short
For Big Bass Bonanza-style gaming without fish, Club Cabana might scratch the itch, but there’s not much else here to recommend it.
