Clawsy Collector is a scatter pays slot played on a 6x5 grid that forms a winning combination when 8 or more matching symbols land in any position on the grid. It uses a cascading wins system that makes winning symbols vanish, causing a symbol drop to fill the empty spaces. Cascades repeat as long as wins keep appearing. Instead of being a crab-themed money symbol collection game, Clawsy Collector actually turned out to be a scatter paying version of Reactoonz, ish. The game doesn't arrive out of nowhere, though. Bullshark Games has been experimenting with winning symbol collection systems for a while now, such as in Age of Seth and Lemur Levels, as all three slots drop Grid Boosters onto the reels when the meter reaches set points. Clawsy Collector stands apart from its siblings by streamlining the formula into a very straightforward manner, making it a light, accessible way for anyone to take on the mechanic.

The issue is that it might be a little too light, as the game lacks edge, and the Grid Boosters themselves are common effects. Positive effects to be sure, though it's unlikely that low pay removal, added wilds, and global multiplier progression taxed the creative capabilities of Bullshark Games' features team very much. The gameplay is not without a level of satisfaction, though. Cascades were plentiful enough, leading to fairly frequent feature triggers, and when coupled with the breezy demeanour, it wasn't hard to enjoy what Clawsy Collector had to offer. Winning potential is sizable at 15,000x the bet, as well, though getting anywhere close to that figure will likely require some serious global multiplier building.

Clawsy Collector is not like a game that is going to trigger tsunami-like waves through the gambling community, but Bullshark Games has cranked the pleasant dial up to 11, making it hard to hate on the game even if it is not hugely exciting. What we've got here is closer to a comfort slot than an adrenalised one. It's tidy, pleasant, yet rarely shocking. Players with high expectations could likely consider this underwhelming, but Clawsy Collector inhabits a sunny, laidback spot in the sea some gamblers may find welcoming.
