Tranquil is the word that came to mind when beholding Lemur Levels, both visually and audially. On the visual front, the action takes place in a lush jungle setting where a big-eyed lemur stands by the grid, all tail a-wagging, banana in hand, looking like a friendly sort. The music is just as charming, laid back in the base game, as if players are lying down to sleep in the shade of a big leafy bush, while the tempo increases during free spins, where the rain may start to fall. It's just all around nice to look at, though Lemur Levels is a slot, so it has no problems lashing the unlucky either.

A 7x7 grid is where the lemuring occurs, creating winning combinations when 5 or more matching symbols are connected to each other anywhere on the grid. The cascade feature causes winning symbols to vanish, and drops symbols down to replace them to provide another chance to win. Lemur King Symbols

Lemur King symbols may only land in the base game, where they replace any paying symbols. When part of a win, it activates a random grid booster. If multiple Lemur Kings are in wins, each triggers a different booster. If all 5 boosters are active, additional Lemur Kings in wins do not trigger further boosters.

Grid Boosters

Grid boosters are applied one by one after the grid settles, in random order. After a booster has applied its effect, the booster deactivates, meaning it can be activated again, and after the grid settles, the next activated booster may trigger. However, the multiplier does not deactivate when triggered, but remains active for all wins during the spin.

• Multiplier - A multiplier of x2 to x100 is drawn, and it applies to all following wins on the spin. The multiplier resets with each new spin.
• Wild - 3 to 8 regular wilds are added to the grid, depending on available grid positions.
• Reload - All symbols except Lemur Kings and regular wilds are removed, and new symbols drop in.
• Replace - 5 to 10 random symbols are transformed into the same random pay symbol, depending on available positions.
• Low to High - Each low pay symbol on the reels is converted into random high pay symbols.

Jungle Journey

Scatters only appear in the base game. When landed, they raise the scatter count by +1 and convert to a pay symbol. When 3 scatters hit, Jungle Journey triggers from the first level. The feature has four levels, each consisting of one spin with 5 grid boosters. Each level begins with the multiplier booster before the spin starts, and it applies to all wins at that level. The remaining four boosters trigger one by one in random order, with the grid settling after each booster. If 60 winning symbols are collected, players move to the next level. Possible multipliers are x1-x3 at level 1, x5-x15 at level 2, x20-x30 at level 3, and x40-x100 at level 4.

Treetop Triumph

Hitting 4 scatters triggers Treetop Triumph. It is the same as Jungle Journey except the second level is guaranteed.

Lemur Levels: Slot Verdict

We all have things in life that we are naturally drawn to, and when it comes to Bullshark Games, the studio does seem to have a soft spot for cluster-paying slots. The developer has released a good number of these now, from Godly Gains to Coop Clash to Amazing Miceketeers and beyond. Some share traits with Lemur Levels, and one of the closest, perhaps, is Age of Seth, with the way that game released grid boosters during its free spins round. But, on the whole, Lemur Levels is quite fresh, as well as nice to look at, as its bonus round goes about tantalising, and potentially rewarding with its level-up system.

It's a funny one. At times, collecting loads of symbols was a piece of cake, and levels flew by like they weren't even there. Other times, well, the opposite may occur, too. What makes levels quite exciting is the fact that they are guaranteed to unload grid boosters, and the multiplier increases with each new level attained. It might have been cool if there was one final feature for reaching the very last level that is found nowhere else in the game, but no biggie, the x40-x100 multiplier at level four might turn out to be the very thing needed to push a session of Lemur Levels over the edge.

Or not, but at best, Lemur Levels can produce wins of up to 15,000x, meaning it's a decent-sized player in this genre of slot. So while the tranquil jungle atmosphere might lull players into a false sense of security, the level-up, boosters, and multis combo can be quite a ride, reiterating Bullshark Games' knack for designing these sorts of games.
