We sat down to have a word with Simon Hammon, CPO at Relax Gaming, about the arrival of the brand new Dream Drop Jackpot. Let’s hear it directly from Simon…
Bigwinboard: Congratulations on the launch of the Dream Drop Jackpot, can you start by telling us what inspired Relax Gaming to develop a brand-new jackpot slot?
Simon Hammon (SH): The market has been awash with some fantastic jackpot products over the last decade or so. However, it came to our attention that there was very little innovation within the space. We see time and again that reliable products inevitably become stagnant if there isn’t constant innovation behind them.
It’s one thing being able to win millions from a jackpot slot, but we could see that players were becoming frustrated with the same old games that were slow to pay out with jackpots taking months to drop. As one of iGaming’s most innovative studios, we felt compelled to change this.
Developing a legacy-type jackpot slot was clearly out of the question, we didn’t want to join the hordes of other studios that have developed cookie-cutter jackpots for a quick win. We always had grand ambitions of completely shaking up the entire scene with something unique.
Bigwinboard: Ahead of the launch, you mentioned that your jackpots would drop more frequently than those in other traditional jackpot slots. Has this been the case so far?
SH: Yes, it’s most certainly been the case so far! I’m immensely proud to announce that the Dream Drop Jackpot has seen over 140,000 individual jackpots won in just under three weeks, with 4 Major jackpots dropping during this period (with a 5th one likely to fall before this is published).
How many studios can say that their jackpot slots have dropped more than 140,000 times in such a short period of time? We believe that this is amongst, if not the biggest game launch from any supplier in recent years and we’re so proud of everything Dream Drop has achieved so far.
The Mega Jackpot has continued to grow and grow and we expect it to drop for a lucky player in the not-so-distant future, meaning that we’ll be even closer to adding that additional €500,000 to the jackpot prize as it climbs towards that top sum of €10,000,000.

Bigwinboard: The Dream Drop jackpot launched alongside Temple Tumble 2, how important is it that the jackpot is bundled with a memorable game that players actually want to play for its features and mechanics?
SH: When we started work on the Dream Drop Jackpot, we all agreed that it absolutely had to launch with a slot that players were excited about playing. It didn’t take us long to conclude that the Temple Tumble series would be the perfect launch platform.
Anyone who knows their slots will know that Relax Gaming is renowned for Temple Tumble, it’s a game that’s been a huge hit with enthusiasts since day one. When we announced that Dream Drop would be bundled with Temple Tumble 2, the overall reaction was incredibly positive and now we’ve launched, we can safely say we 100% made the right decision.
Bigwinboard: On that note, what’s the next release on the Relax Gaming roadmap that will feature the Dream Drop Jackpot?
SH: I’m glad you asked! We’re set to release Snake Arena Dream Drop next month on the 8th June, a really exciting re-vamped version of the much-loved 2020 original.
