Helios Triple Sun: Slot Overview
Gather round, players, it's time for a quick lesson in mythology. Today, we're talking about Helios, the ancient Greek god who personified the sun. Helios was envisioned driving a golden chariot across the sky each day, and was believed to see and hear almost everything that happened on Earth in the process. Today, he takes a break from traversing the sky all day to play the main role in Pragmatic Play's slot Helios Triple Sun. This is a tumbling, scatter pays slot that forks away from its godly sibling Gates of Olympus by introducing a three-pot element, granting multipliers and 1-3 active modifiers to the free spins round when triggered.
Like many of his mythological slot brethren, Helios is an extraordinarily buff individual, floating on his side of the screen, staring at gamblers who choose to enter his domain. The domain is located up high, amidst the clouds, columns, and glorious Greek architecture. It's a vision that's not new in a slot by any means, but is majestically recreated in Helios Triple Sun nonetheless. This is a slot that has Pragmatic Play stamped all over it, from glossy overcoat to dynamic cut scene between game phases, to the actual gameplay itself, which means nothing frighteningly brand new, but all built to a high standard regardless.

Helios shines his light on a 6x5 gaming grid that forms winning combinations when 8 or more winning symbols land in any position. Winning symbols are cleared off the reels, causing symbols to drop down to refill the reels, repeating in this way until no new win is created. Pragmatic Play has tuned the math model volatility to medium and provided a stake range of $/€0.20 to $/€240. Of the various RTP configurations, 96.46% is the one to go for, if available.
Blue, green, yellow, purple, and red jewels are the lower-paying symbols, joined by rings, amphorae, discs, and crowns as the high pays. Winning combinations of 8+ pay 0.25x-10x the bet, all the way up to 2x-50x when landing a combination of 12+ OAK. Wilds are not to be found in Helios Triple Sun.
Helios Triple Sun: Slot Features

In Helios Triple Sun, the features are multipliers, free spins with 1-3 modifiers, an ante bet as well as feature buys.
Scatter Symbols & Free Spins
In Helios Triple Sun, there are three different Sun scatters coloured Red, Yellow, and Blue. They can carry a multiplier of x2-x100, which is applied to the total win at the end of a spin. When they land in the base game, they are collected above the reels. When collection occurs, there's a chance free spins trigger with 1-3 modifiers active, depending on the triggering scatters. When the bonus round is triggered, players win 8 free spins.
- Red Sun Scatter - Multiplier symbols can hit with a value of x2-x100, which is applied to the total win at the end of a spin.
- Yellow Sun Scatter - An extra four-position row is added to the top of the grid.
- Blue Sun Scatter - Each tumble increases a total multiplier by 1, which is progressive till the round ends, and applies to the total win at the end of each spin.
Scatters can hit and be collected during free spins. When this occurs, +3 free spins are granted, and randomly, modifiers associated with the collected scatter that were not already active may become active until free spins end.
Ante Bet & Feature Buy
Switching on the ante bet increases the stake by 50% to have a higher chance of triggering free spins. Players may even buy the free spins round with 1-3 modifiers for 80x, or free spins with 3 modifiers for 200x the stake.

Helios Triple Sun: Slot Verdict
Continuing the theme of mythology lessons, Helios' son Phaethon apparently took the reins of his father's chariot but was unable to control the horses, flying too close to the earth, scorching parts of it, while soaring away from others, causing them to freeze. Given the heatwaves roasting parts of the planet at the time of writing, who knows what's going on up there… Back in the physical realm, we've got Helios Triple Sun to contend with, and not a bad slot it is either. Any Greek mythology-themed scatter pays slot is going to draw comparisons with Pragmatic Play's classic Gates of Olympus, and while there are links to be drawn, Helios Triple Sun does enough to hack away many of the bonds holding the two games together, and entertain players in its own particular way.
Not so much in the base game, which does a similar scatter pay, tumble and multiplier thing. One difference is that the relevant symbols are not always guaranteed to produce a multiplier. There are three pots, though, evoking tension when Sun scatters land as to whether they're going to trigger free spins or not. When they do, as is usually the case, the greater the number of modifiers, the fuller the experience. Not to say, having just one or two modifiers on their own can't produce positive results - up to a cap of 5,000x the bet. The Blue Sun vies with the Red Sun as the most desirable effect, one increasing a total multiplier on each tumble, the other producing one-off multipliers of up to x100 each. Better yet, get them both working at the same time, and the Red Sun adds its value to the total multiplier (for that spin). The Yellow Sun is alright; having four more positions is better than not having them, but it doesn't seem as game-changing as the two multipliers.
Pragmatic Play has a strong history of making these sorts of games, and Helios Triple Sun takes the base Gates formula and builds an entertaining slot on top of it. While it borrows ideas from various sources and might not raise the curtain on a wholly brand new invention, what's here has been polished to a sunny shine as it brings everything together in a playable scatter paying/three pot hybrid.
Helios Triple Sun builds on the studio's scatter paying heritage with a playable three-pot variant, making it an entertaining entry in Pragmatic Play's mythology-inspired lineup.
