Kingdom of Atlantis Slot

Kingdom of Atlantis is another example of Pragmatic Play taking an established formula and relocating it rather than substantially changing it. This time Mount Olympus gives way to the lost city of Atlantis, with Poseidon, pearls, crowns and underwater treasures filling the screen. The aquatic setting is polished enough, but both visually and mechanically there is little here that regular Pragmatic players won't recognise.

The game runs on a 6x5 Scatter Pays grid, requiring at least 8 matching symbols anywhere in view to produce a win. Winning symbols disappear through Tumbles, with replacements dropping into their positions until no further combinations are created. Medium volatility is paired with bets from €0.20 to €300, while the RTP sits at a disappointing 94.50% and the standard payout ceiling is 5,000x the bet.

Multiplier symbols can appear during a Tumble sequence with values ranging from x2 to x500. Once the sequence ends, all multipliers visible on the grid are added together and applied to the accumulated win. It's immediately familiar territory for anyone who has played Gates of Olympus and its numerous variations, right down to the combination of Scatter Pays, Tumbles and additive multiplier symbols.

Four or more Scatters trigger 15 Free Spins, where the multiplier system becomes more powerful. Instead of disappearing after each sequence, collected multipliers are added to a global multiplier that remains active throughout the bonus. Landing at least 3 additional Scatters awards another 5 spins, providing the opportunity to keep building the multiplier across an extended feature.

The main addition to the familiar formula is a set of four progressive jackpots: Minor, Major, Mega and Grand. These can trigger randomly after a base-game spin, leading to a pick feature where revealing three matching jackpot names awards the corresponding pot. An Ante Bet costing 1.25x the regular stake doubles the chance of triggering Free Spins, while the feature can also be purchased directly for 100x the bet.

Without the progressive jackpots, Kingdom of Atlantis would be difficult to distinguish mechanically from the many multiplier-driven Scatter Pays games Pragmatic Play has already released. The persistent bonus multiplier remains an effective mechanic and individual multiplier symbols reaching x500 certainly provide some firepower, but a 5,000x standard ceiling is hardly exciting by current standards.

Jackpot hunters may find a reason to dive in, but for everyone else, there are numerous variations of this formula offering more attractive mathematics and very similar gameplay.
