Lightning of Olympus from Skywind is clearly inspired by the massively popular Gates of Olympus series from Pragmatic Play, right down to the cascading reels, multiplier symbols, and mythological theme. While the game doesn’t hide its influences, it does add a few tweaks of its own - most notably the Lightning Slammer feature, which can boost landed multiplier values, and an escalating top reel to spice up gameplay. The max win potential is strong at 15,000x, making it a solid contender in this slot category.
On the downside, the theme feels generic and lacks originality, especially in a genre already crowded with Olympus-style slots. Additionally, while the default RTP is solid, some regional versions can drop as low as 88%, which is a steep drawback for players in those markets.
Lightning of Olympus is a competent imitation with some added flair, and players who enjoy this style of game may find value in the tweaks Skywind brings. Still, with so many nearly identical options already on the market, it’s hard to see this one rising above the competition for long.
