Lucky Lady Moon Megaways: Slot Overview
Lucky Lady Moon Megaways is a remake of a previous BGaming slot called Lucky Lady Moon which, in turn, appeared to take its inspiration from the Novomatic classic Lucky Lady's Charm. As such, players get an Irish(y)-themed slot with a female lead adding a personal touch. Features-wise, the Megaways game follows the previous slot quite closely, where free spins with a win multiplier are the main attraction. However, Megaways brings one or two tricks to the table, plus there is optional betting options for certain players. Let's see what's new and what's not.
Megaways might be a relatively modern invention, but Lucky Lady Moon Megaways has a thoroughly classic look. Behind the game grid with its old-school, blocky, largely white reels is a peculiar, pink-coloured, sparkling background that is more or less the same as players got before. There's not a whole lot to say about Lucky Lady Moon Megaways from an audio-visual/theme standpoint. The typical 6+1 Megaways panel takes up most of the room, barely leaving room for much else to invoke a mood. If you like the original's looks, you'll probably like the Megaways remake as well. If not, well, Lucky Lady Moon Megaways probably won't do a whole lot to convince you otherwise.

Statistically, Lucky Lady Moon Megaways is rather positive, boosting an eye-catching return to player figure of 96.75% (the default setting, at least). BGaming has classed volatility as 'very high', so prepare for some ups and downs, though the potential is significantly less than what it was before, on paper. In reality, the 6,000x max win cap seems more realistic, though it is relatively low for a Megaways game. The game has several ways of being played, from regularly paid spins costing 10 p/c to $/€35 per spin to the Buy Chance and bonus buy options.
Played on a larger than usual grid, Lucky Lady Moon Megaways has 6 main reels holding up to 7 symbols each, plus a 4-symbol row that spins horizontally on top of reels 2-5. Hitting the spin button deposits a changing arrangement of symbols on the reels, producing anywhere from 324 to 200,704 ways to win. Matching symbols in adjacent reels from the leftmost side of the panel creates a winning way, and there are 11 regular pay symbols in the game. These start with 9-A card ranks as the low pays, worth 0.5-0.8x the bet for six of a kind, and max out with four-leafed clovers, horseshoes, coins, diamonds, and ladybirds as the high pays, worth 1-10x the bet for six of a kind. Where the Lucky Lady comes into play is as the x2 wild symbol. The Lucky Lady tile appears on reels 2-6 and multiplies any wins she is a part of by x2.
Lucky Lady Moon Megaways: Slot Features

The grid might have gotten larger, but Lucky Lady Moon Megaways' list of features has stayed pretty much the same. Cascading wins have been added, there's a Buy Chance, as well as a possible Buy Bonus option, but the main event remains free spins with a win multiplier.
Cascades
When a winning way hits, it disappears off the reels, and the gaps it leaves behind are filled by new symbols falling down from above. If a new win is formed after the symbols have cascaded, then the feature triggers again.
Free Spins
Gaining access to the bonus round occurs when at least 3 scatter symbols are in view on the reels. Players also win a side prize of 5, 10, 20, or 50 times the stake when 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters hit. The bonus feature begins by spinning a Wheel of Fortune, awarding 5-15 free spins and a win multiplier of x2-x25. The feature is also retrigged when 3 or more scatter symbols land on a free spin.
Buy Chance/Buy Bonus
If the opportunity presents itself, players can activate the Buy Chance button. This increases the bet by 50% and doubles the chance of triggering free spins. Or, for 90x the bet, eligible players are able to buy their way straight to the bonus round.

Lucky Lady Moon Megaways: Slot Verdict
BGaming hasn't managed to blow the iGaming world away with its Megaways releases just yet, and it doesn't feel like Lucky Lady Moon Megaways is going to be the breakthrough to do it either. Though heavily based on Pragmatic Play's Madame Destiny Megaways, it's not without a certain level of retro charm. Having said that, there is a suspicion that if you didn't enjoy the original, then Lucky Lady Moon Megaways loses much of its punchline. It's quite close to the previous game, which might delight fans who didn't want the studio to tinker with the formula too drastically. At its core, it's all about hitting those Lucky Lady x2 wilds to boost wins while crossing your fingers to trigger the free spins bonus round.
The bonus round, and the game in general, has a few more tricks up its sleeve, though, it must be said. For one, the free spins win multiplier can be much higher than it was before, as x3 was about all you got in the non-Megaways Lucky Lady Moon game. Also, cascades enter the picture now, adding the potential for a few consecutive winning ways lining up on single spins. Add those two things together and you might think that Lucky Lady Moon Megaways would pack greater potential than before, but the opposite is actually the case. Whereas Lucky Lady Moon came with a stated 27,000x the bet top prize (a highly questionable number), Lucky Lady Moon Megaways makes do with 'just' 6,000x. Undoubtedly more realistic, but which puts Lucky Lady Moon Megaways in the lower zone of Megaways slots. The 6,000x feels a little off considering the sizeable multiplier it is technically possible to have in free spins.
And so, as a chance for fans to resample what was on offer in Lucky Lady Moon, the redo could be worth a spin or two. It keeps much of the original while stretching it out over a larger, more dynamic Megaways game panel. It does feel outgunned by much of the competition, though, so if you didn't get the appeal of the previous slot (or haven't had a chance to play it), it's hard to see Lucky Lady Moon Megaways winning a stack of new converts.
Lucky Lady Moon Megaways should please the fan base but might struggle to pull in much of a new crowd.
