Whether you’re a casual gambler or you want something with a bit more meat on its bones, there’s always a slew of new video slots coming out to suit everyone’s taste. Granted, some weeks are better than others and this week happens to be one of them.
If you want to know all about the best new slot releases and what they have to offer, then this article is for you. We’ve rounded up all of the most interesting titles, so you don’t have to look elsewhere to find great games to play.
Interestingly, it’s not the big names in the industry that are making the headlines in this week’s list of top titles. Instead, it’s the smaller studios that have been pushing the limits with fresh and innovative ideas. Ready to go? Let’s get started then.
Giza Infinity Reels (ReelPlay)
Unfortunately, we didn’t get the opportunity to really sink our teeth into Giza Infinity Reels before the launch to shower it with the love it deserves as the developer had an exclusive agreement with another website. For that reason, we never really managed to get the word out on Giza.
Following on from the release of El Dorado, this is the second title from ReelPlay to utitilise their in-house developed Infinity Reels mechanic. The fundamentals remain the same and the Infinity Reels mechanic has once again been put to effective use. What you get this time around, however, is a more volatile game due to the incorporation of a wheel that allows you to gamble your free spins winnings. The win potential has also been improved and nearly doubled, which means there are wins of up to 10,000 times the stake to pocket should things really go your way.
That’s Rich (Play’n GO)
On the surface, That’s Rich might seem like another typical creation from Play’n GO – a developer known to churn out four, sometimes even as many as five slots per month. When we say “typical”, that’s not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to Play’n GO since, even with such a busy schedule, they still manage to maintain a consistently high quality. Sure, the games are often a tad formulaic and Play’n GO has a tendency to recycle their mathematical models, but it works and players love their games.
Based on their 2015 release Pimped, this 5-reel, 10-payline feminine remake hits even harder than the original. Hovering in the spectrum between medium and high volatility, it comes with expanding wilds, a win spins feature and multipliers. What makes it a little bit more interesting, however, is the win potential which, at 10,000 times your stake, is double that of the typical Play’n GO math model.
PopRocks (Avatar UX)
A month or two before the release, we were invited by the friendly and super enthusiastic guys over at independent studio Avatar UX to have a look at their upcoming creation PopRocks. Developed as part of Yggdrasil’s Masters Program, which is a project that essentially offers smaller studios a rapid route to global exposure, PopRocks turns out to be one of the best game to ever have come out of the program.
Admittedly, Avatar UX still have some things they need to work on and there is a bit of a generic feel to PopRocks that is hard to ignore. Nevertheless, there are several positive aspects about the game that more than makes up for it, such as the generous 96.8% RTP, a massive amount of win ways that can reach up to 33,614 when fully expanded, and win potential of up to 72,188 times the stake. The game has proven fairly popular with the casino community and is well worth a try.
Harlequin Carnival (Nolimit City)
Can you imagine. When we were first approached by Nolimit City and asked to feature their games, we turned them down and pretty much put them on ignore. Fast forward to the release of Tombstone, and the tables had turned. Since then, Nolimit City has been taking us by surprise almost every month with fresh, beautiful and innovative new games. As a matter of fact, there are few other providers that manage to get on the same level as these guys who are on fire at the moment.
Just as you started to doubt they’d be able to keep up with the high standards, out comes Harlequin Carnival which is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot featuring their xNudge mechanic and the Nolimit feature buy option. It’s sophisticated, mature, well-balanced and fun to play. Land a couple of stacked wild multipliers during the free spins round and it can go absolutely bonkers.
