Relax Gaming has been relatively quiet of late, putting out slots that, generally speaking, slip into the good but not great (by its past record) category and Tiger Shrine is another release earning a good but not great mark. It looks fine and has some okay features tucked away in there, but nothing really knocks anything out of the park. One of the main stumbling blocks is that very little about Tiger Shrine rises far beyond average, if at all. Visually, the game looks pretty nice, with hints of Snake's Gold Dream Drop going on, and is more atmospheric than Jungle Jamboree, though that's not saying a lot.

Tiger Shrine's features have potential, but beyond sticking three bonus games together in a single place, it doesn't seem like a ton of thought went into them. The Symbol Upgrade Bonus is brought in from Pink Elephants; expanding reels are a useful touch, and upgradeable multiplying wild symbols is nice to have on hand, too. On their own, okay, no big complaints, but no major excitement factor either. Maybe if there was a chance to combine the bonus rounds, maybe stick 2 or even 3 modes together, Power Combo-style, Tiger Shrine might have roared a bit loader.

As it stands, Tiger Shrine can produce wins up to a 10,000x win cap, so there are sharp claws hidden amongst its trio of bonus rounds. The game turned out to be okay in the end when all the variables had been weighed up, but Tiger Shrine lacks an almighty killer hook that might have caused it to stand out further. Perhaps the studio had other things on its mind, Dream Drop, perhaps, stopping it from moulding Tiger Shrine into something really special.
