Case Closed: Slot Overview
Hey, gumshoe, why not grab your magnifying glass and come solve a crime with developer Red Tiger in the online slot Case Closed? The public, in general, seems to have a lot of curiosity when it comes to crime and police work, either through real-life stories or fictional representations. Wonder why? Is it morbid curiosity, the reassurance that the police (on TV at least) almost always find the guilty party, the adrenaline rush of vicariously solving a tricky case? Maybe all of these things and something else. Anyway, if you're interested in vicariously solving crimes whilst spinning reels in the hopes of also nabbing some dough, Case Closed could be one to try out.
An investigator's office is the setting for Case Closed's base game, and hopefully, you find it a homely, cosy spot because there is no separate bonus round like free spins switching locations. All of the action occurs here, like crunching data or filling in paperwork at a desk. A bit of a shame there's no pounding the pavements or investigating shady locations around town, but Case Closed is a pretty simple game revolving around hitting enough Clue scatters to interrogate suspects, which, if successful, lead to cash prizes, as well as landing Evidence scatters to solve cases to augment the Interrogation feature. To the right of the reels is the case progression part, while the suspects for interrogation and their prizes sit on the left. It's a fairly low-energy scene, with little in the way of music, though a take-no-crap detective supplies voice-over work at various points in the game.

Case Closed's grid setup includes 5 reels holding 4 rows each, covered with 50 winlines. Pay symbols award wins left to right on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel, and most need at least 3 OAK to do so except the top two pay symbols, which award wins for landing 2 or more of a kind. With a default RTP of 96.02%, one of Case Closed's larger stats is a hit frequency of 54.01%, meaning players theoretically land a win more often than they don't, which, in turn, potentially could make it a good option for wagering. Highly volatile, keyboard investigators can stake 10 p/c to $/€20 per spin.
On Case Closed's pay symbol side are stripy 10 to A card ranks as the low pays, then a badge, a pistol, a car, and a male character as the 4 high pays. When a 5-of-a-kind winning line hits, the game awards 4 to 6 times the bet when a combination is made up of low pays or 10 to 400 times the bet when made up of highs. Wild symbols are not one tool this game is able to offer players to help with the crime-solving or for linking matching symbols.
Case Closed: Slot Features

Two further symbols Case Closed does have is the magnifying glass Clue symbol and the camera Evidence symbol. The former is needed to trigger the Interrogation feature, the latter for the Evidence feature.
Interrogation Feature
To the left of the reels are the silhouettes of 3 suspects. Each suspect displays a cash prize value that may change on each spin.
- Suspect 1 can have values of 5x, 10x, or 15x the bet.
- Suspect 2 can have values of 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x, or 75x the bet.
- Suspect 3 can have values of 100x, 150x, 250x, 350x, or 500x the bet.
Clue scatters may land on reels 2, 3, and 4. Each time a Clue scatter hits, it is collected, and when 7 have been collected, the Interrogation feature triggers. It begins with the first suspect, and the outcome is randomly successful or unsuccessful. A successful interrogation awards the suspect's prize and moves on to the next suspect, and the process repeats. If an interrogation is unsuccessful or all 3 suspects are successfully interrogated, the Interrogation feature ends.
Case Feature
On the right side of the grid are 3 case folders. Evidence scatters appear on the center reel, and only 1 may land per spin. When an Evidence scatter lands, it is collected. Collecting 10 Evidence scatters solves a case:
- Solving the 1st case guarantees the first interrogation will always be successful and grants a reward when the Interrogation feature is triggered.
- Solving the 2nd case reduces the number of Clues needed to trigger the Interrogation feature from 7 down to 5.
- Solving the 3rd and final case unlocks a fourth suspect, which awards 2,000x the bet if interrogated successfully. The fourth suspect is only interrogated if all previous suspects are successfully interrogated during the Interrogation feature.

Case Closed: Slot Verdict
Online gambling and crime (the theme) are a popular combination, and enthusiasts are spoiled for choice with options like Cash Noire, The Great Stick-Up, Bugsy's Bar, Peaky Blinders, Brooklyn Bootleggers, Narcos, or Mega Heist, being a few that bubbled up during the review. Joining the lineup is Case Closed, which is one of the more relaxed examples of a crime-themed game. Interestingly, Case Closed's relaxed attitude wasn't as much of a sticking point as it might normally have been. The reason why is the slot reviewed before this one was DJ Psycho from Nolimit City, a confusing game which might have benefited from more clues as to how it all functioned. As such, when Case Closed came along, its simplicity, low energy, and modest aims were strangely welcoming in a comparatively undemanding, mentally untaxing type way.
Not saying Case Closed is a great game or anything along those lines, but it's easy going and mildly amusing for a crime slot; though, the biggest misdemeanours around here seem to be along the lines of jaywalking or parking tickets rather than diabolically fiendish crime waves that terrorise the wider community. In numerical terms, the rewards aren't enormous, even when fully cracking the case, maxing out at 2,640.2x the bet.
And that's a wrap, really. Case Closed provided a few upbeat moments, and it might be of interest to players who like these Red Tiger games, which open up as certain features are progressively triggered and certain waypoints achieved. It's not a game that left a deep subconscious imprint, but for a slow-going crime-dipped slot with an easy set of rules, Case Closed might be okay for a bit of light interrogation.
Case Closed is a light crime-themed slot that's closer to writing parking tickets than big-city detective work.
